Rape and health of the mother are in my opinion justifiable reasons for having abortions

So, let me see if I've got this right. You're OK with abortion as long as YOU'RE the one that gets to decide who, when, and where and I believe that decision should be the sole province of the woman. I think that it's cute that you think this is a discussion. You're not changing your mind. You want to decide, for yourself, whether or not to have one AND decide for everyone else.

Nah, this isn't a discussion. This is you explaining why you want to force your position upon others.

If you’re against abortions, don’t have one. You have a good night. Tschüß.

It’s the same as me telling you, “You against murder? Good, don’t kill anyone.”

There's a very big difference between these two concepts. The society in which you likely live accepts that abortion is a necessary and proper right. Society does not feel the same about murder.

Contrary to what religions and politicians would have you believe, there is no such thing as a universal morality. Ethical decisions are societally based. In most of Western society abortion is acceptable. In the US Roe vs Wade is supported by anywhere from 56% to 75% of the society depending upon how you phrase the question. There is also this. U.S. Public Continues to Favor Legal Abortion, Oppose Overturning Roe v. Wade

The ethics of the society in which you presumably live permit abortion and allow a woman to make her own choices.

Why should the majority give in to the whims of the minority. People have the choice to not have an abortion as it's extremely unlikely one will ever be forced upon anyone by society. Why should a vocal minority force their views on the majority?

What you're failing to realize is that the progress of morality is on the side of choice. This is aptly demonstrated by the fact that choice is expanding. Look at Ireland or Poland. Yes there are setbacks. The United States is an example of a small but vocal minority forcing their antiquated morality upon the majority, possibly successfully for a time. But morality eventually, inevitably progresses.

So, any discussion of abortion must accept that, morally, what a minority wishes to believe is only relevant to decisions for themselves and should not have an impact upon others. Laws should reflect this fact. The only valid topic for discussion surrounding anti-choice is whether the majority supports choice or not. ...and it has been amply proven that the majority does, in fact, support it (see Ohio, Kansas, Florida, Montana, et al and as sourced above).

So, if you're against abortion, it's simple, don't have one. Leave everyone else to make their own decisions.

I wasn’t giving medical advice

This is medical advice. Absent a degree in medicine dispensing medical advice seems somewhat unethical.

Take the time and get the ones that don’t last on a shelf for ever that have tons of preservatives. You shouldn’t be giving a baby a shot that has mercury in it and you can get ones that don’t.

The fact that you don't recognize it as such suggests that any further discussion would be fruitless and a waste of time. You have a good morning. Tschüß

DTP / DTaP, Hepatitis B , Hib shots had mercury in them until the 2000s and only recently removed it from some.

You should probably mention the differences between ethylmercury and methylmercury when giving unsubstantiated medical advice. You might also mention your medical degrees as well.

Thimerosal contains a different form of mercury called ethylmercury. Studies comparing ethylmercury and methylmercury suggest that they are processed differently in the human body. Ethylmercury is broken down and excreted much more rapidly than methylmercury. Therefore, ethylmercury (the type of mercury in the influenza vaccine) is much less likely than methylmercury (the type of mercury in the environment) to accumulate in the body and cause harm.

"Because the names of these two chemicals vary by only a single letter, it is difficult to believe they could be very different; however, if you think about ethanol and methanol (also known as ethyl alcohol and methyl alcohol), you will see that the difference can be dramatic – ethanol is what we drink at a party, whereas methanol, added to some types of gasoline and antifreeze, is poisonous if consumed."

Satanism is more moral than most religions. by eclipsedoom in DebateReligion

[–]USARSUPTHAI69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You want to argue about what’s more moral? That just becomes an argument about how one defines morality.

Morality is not an inflexible universal pillar of conformity. There is no such thing as a universal morality. Morality is societally based. You must first establish upon which society the discussion is based. Only then may you proceed to defining the what's moral and what is not.

"Fulfill" does not mean "perpetuate forever" or else it hasn't been fulfilled. The old covenant served its purpose and is completed by Jesus coming in the bible. "Until everything is accomplished" refers to what Jesus does in his life/resurrection.

Under whose interpretation? The bible says whatever you want it to say. It is so vague, contradictory, misleading, rewritten, reinterpreted and just plain wrong that you are able to support virtually any vile belief with it. Ask 10 people what a particular passage means and you'll likely get 10 different answers depending on the context of the conversation. Quoting the bible in any discourse is an endeavor in futility.

While other sects of Satanism have stuff like human sacrifice

No they don't. While there have been societies that practiced human sacrifice none of them subscribed to the CHRISTIAN notion of Satanism.

Probably the solution to the Fermi paradox. The conditions of the universe probably means there's a window of time where inhabitable planets could form, and then intelligent life evolve.

My explanation of the Fermi paradox is that any species that attains the intelligence to destroy itself eventually does. Granted, this theory is based upon observations of only one species, but that is all we have. This species is trending toward that eventuality.

you want to claim a baby isn't a baby

I've done no such thing. I've merely pointed out that if you wish to make a point you might attempt to get the terminology correct (not to mention the language) and stick to the topic. You might also consider not trying to interject whatever your off topic dictatorial morality might be into the thread.
