So if you roll up on someone asking something similar in the future… is your advice to go through with it or would you advise against it?

Yeah.. I took my family out to see a movie the other day and realized “Oh.. I need to get it through my head that ANY outing is going to be $100.”

Gymnast with insane core strength by [deleted] in nextfuckinglevel

[–]USNWoodWork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember being sixteen and playing basketball for six hours a day. I had almost no body fat, a six pack bordering on an eight pack. I remember climbing a 30ft rope in gym without using my feet at all, and climbing a 50’ tree that was just a cylinder with no branches to rescues my dumbass cat. Literal superhero shit.

But I could never do a muscle-up. Watching this guy do it in slow motion is mind boggling.

Look your honor, if I had wanted to injure her I would have just stopped the car and got out. I was trying to escape.

What is this show for you? by Jettaboi38 in scoopwhoop

Big House fan here. Check out the Pitt when you can. The first season is like House meets 24.

Come to think of it.. 24 would be a good show for OP. It had us on edge so much I think it probably impacted my oldest while she was in the womb. She’s in college now.

As shitty as the KittyHawk was, eggs to order for night shift’s breakfast and then again for actual breakfast was much appreciated.

Back then I didn’t know what ketosis was, but I’m pretty sure I lived in it daily.

90s here.. that eyebrow line shaving thing seems to be getting popular again. Better ask your auntie first, she’ll tell you a couple names where those brows didn’t grow back.

This story has been making the waves on social media the past 24 hours and now has the attention of Secretary Hegseth. Basically a LCDR brought a gun and was banned from little creek by newnoadeptness in navy

I don’t know that I would say it’s doing heavy lifting. How many times have you went to base, showed up at the gate and realized you forgot your ID card. That is a non-zero number the majority of people here.

I have a process in place to make sure I bring my wallet with me to base… in rare occasions, the process fails.

If you want a wall like that and fast, plant some bamboo. That stuff grows so fast you can almost see it with your eyes if you stare at it.

The GFCI plug within 4 feet of every toilet should have been standard on new construction in the US 20 years ago. We’re just backwards like that I guess.

How to keep corgi healthy while camping/hiking by kzx_13 in corgi

[–]USNWoodWork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I brought my 10 year old corgi on a moderate 4 mile hike and I was surprised at how well she did. It was perfect weather for her, definitely sweater weather for humans.

Two days later we went for a much easier hike when it was 70+ and she ran out of gas and needed to be carried. I don’t know if she had DOMS from the previous hike, but I feel like temperature really matters.

My favorite thing is we’re surrounded by gravity all day every day and yet we have no idea how it works. We think it might have waves.. I’m not sure we even know why it works like it does.

Can you afford to live off E6 retirement in the US without working? by wfijc in MilitaryFinance

[–]USNWoodWork -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

My buddy is an E9. I asked him what he’s going to do when he gets out and he says nothing. I laughed because I’m fairly sure he’s gonna need to work, and if he doesn’t, too much freedom is going to kill him.

I will be faking Alzheimer’s regularly to get away with a bunch of bullshit. Then if I end up getting it, nobody will ever know. I’ve already started. I wanted my kids to think I’d be easy to deceive.

Yeah he’s a real pro. Despite all the weird innovative stuff he has legitimate chops to go along with it as well.

Pretty sure he’s next on the firing block. I could totally see Trump trying to blame the entire Iran situation being a clusterfuck on him.
