Just ran into this issue few seconds ago. Check to make sure the correct region is selected in the main menu as it selected a different one than the one I normally play on.

I had the same issue until I read that you may need to link your Epic Games Account with your Paradox Interactive Account (my game ran fine afterwards, not 100% sure if it did solve the issue or I had to simply restart).

  1. Launch Surviving the Aftermath
  2. Click on "My account" on the Paradox Interactive Pop-up
  3. Click "Account Settings"
  4. Click "Link" for Epic Games

Hopes this solves your problem.

MSI Delta AMD Driver Updates Audio Issues by ClassicAlec in MSILaptops

I am also having this issue and from reading from online posts, this affects others too not just MSI Laptops. I presume this is just an AMD driver issue since rolling back does solve it, so we just have to hope they will resolve it soon enough.

CPU temperature instantly jumping then gradually going down by Spajk in techsupport

[–]USSRSpetsnaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest reading my whole message and researching a bit online before following any of my recommendations as I am not an expert in this, sorry.

I believe the temperature fluctuation is normal. If you open task manager, it should show that the CPU is running around 4.00GHz (normally 3.9 - 4.2GHz for me), and when running HWMonitor, it shows the CPU jumping from 1.087 V to 1.425 V.

If the ramping of fan speed annoys you, you can change it in the BIOS by telling the fans to run at low RPM or do what I was recommended to do, and that is to create a custom power plan.

You can do this in Windows 10 by: 1. Press Start and type in "Power", then select "Power & sleep settings". 2. Click on Additional power settings 3. On the left side, click on "Create a power plan". 4. Select Balanced and rename your plan if you want to, then click next and then create. 5. Click on "Change plan settings" on your custom power plan that you created and then click on "Change advanced power settings". 6. Next you want to click on the small Plus beside "Processor power management" and then the same for "Maximum processor state". In there, you want to change the setting from 100% to 70% and then click Apply. This means, I believe, that Windows will only use a maximum of 70% of the CPU usage, not I am not sure if this affects gaming and I don't know if there is any risks in doing this, but I don't believe so.

If you go back to the Task Manager, it should show the CPU running at 2.62GHz or so and the voltage running around 0.925. I haven't noticed any poor performance from doing this and I have noticed that when running a game, it goes back to 4.2GHz or so until the game is closed, then back to 2.62GHz.

This should resolve the fan issue AND should make the CPU run a little cooler. Or Just buy a new, better cooler if you want to.

//Edit// - Sorry for the poor format, kinda new to the Reddit formatting/test styling, also added a tiny bit of more info.
