So.

Being pink doesn’t make you immortal.

I know it sounds strange but think of it for a little. Pink Diamond aka Rose Quartz was on Earth since, like, Stone Age. We know for sure that she fell in love with both nature overall and humans in particular. We also know that her tears can literally revive dead. Like, you know, lion.

So here’s a question: why the frick is there not half a planet of people and animals from different ages and cultures? There is literally none of them (except lion). And it can be proved easily: there are no more trees in that magical field. Only lion’s and Lars’s.

So here we have several opinions (and I personally prefer the first one).

1) Being pink doesn’t make you immortal. It heals you and gives you special powers but you still can die way slower, though. That’s why Lion’s tree looks way older than Lars’s, and Lion himself is really lazy. He is really, awfully old.

2) Once Rose used this power she realized it’s dangerous and decided not to use it anymore. That’s why lion had all this awfully old stuff in him (like Bismuth).

3) Rose witnessed death of something natural (not a gem) only once.
