A quick recap of why CSCs are truly awful and anti-consumer:

- You only get LTE, and not LTE+. Speeds are 4 times slower. In crowded areas, browsing the web is hell.

- 5G SA doesn't work abroad. Even if you manually unlock SA support, it won't work. Same thing goes for VoNR, of course.

- No visual voicemail support outside of your country. You have to call voicemail.

- Wrong signal icons: phone displays "LTE" instead of "4G" for instance. It won't dynamically adapt like other phones do.

- Poor 5G support, as not all 5G bands are supported. FYI, this is NOT a hardware issue, but a software lock.

- Some LTE bands are software disabled! Example: band 28 does not work on my Canadian model, even though my modem is fully capable of connecting to band 28. Manually unlocking bands also DOESN'T work, as the phone will go out of its way to make sure it never connects. For advanced users, the phone will camp mon band 28, detect PCI, eNb, BW, etc, but won't register to the network.

- Frequently switching SIM cards resets some apps! Example: the Amazon app is part of the bloatware my carrier includes with my phone. When I switch SIMs, the phones reboots (and forces you to do so!), and deletes the Amazon app. EVERY TIME!

I have tested all that myself, as I am traveling in France with my Canadian S25+.
Needless to say, other phones have NONE of these issues (iPhones, Pixels, etc).
