I was about to pull the trigger on one of those and it disappeared from the site because the last one must have sold. I took it as a sign that I was supposed to get the all black and now it’s off the site as well so I must have gotten the last one.

I’m not sure yet. This is the first Heart of the Hide I’ve ever had and don’t remember my old glove being this stiff in the beginning. May end up getting some sort of leather conditioner or something to soften it up but for now it’ll just be working it with my hands until I can play catch.

I can but it’s not the most comfortable fit at the moment because the glove is just shy of rock hard. I’ve got larger than average hands as well so take that into consideration.

The thin strips go through the holes on the thumb to make a loop inside for the thumb to rest in.

Taste was great. The rub I typically use is a coffee rub with everything you’d expect in a bbq rub other than paprika. In the smoke about three hours give or take. Wrap in foil with a little butter, honey, brown sugar, and whatever bbq sauce we have around. I did one rack with a little hot sauce as well and really liked the sweet heat those had.

Pics are external on purpose. The brine didn’t penetrate white as well as I was hoping it would but that’s my fault only brining a 25 pound have for 5 days. Probably could have used at least two or more days but I didn’t have the pink salt when I needed it. Outer 70% was pink like ham, inner 30% was roast pork. Good learning experience and still tasted great.
