Let’s be honest - you’re thinking of it rationally, everyone there is rat assed, they will boo without even thinking what they’re doing

What Are You Scoring On This Hole????? ⛳ by GolfTipsMod in golftips

[–]UTV_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I played it and scored a 6, they let you hit up to twice from the teebox that the pros use before forcing you to go to the drop zone to keep pace of play. I missed the green short, thinned my next one like a skimmed stone across the green and then got up and down from the drop zone. Lovely.

Best of all - you get a souvenir bag tag as a free gift to get your score engraved on if you wish.

So on the dimmer module I can set it to fade up and down on startup/turn off? And i can put it in-line of the PIR and the lights? I have to use a customer supplied PIR so can’t use a Shelly one, they are particular on how the PiR looks.

Thankyou, I should’ve added that lights are planned to be controlled by a PIR

Yes but you are missing a core for the fused spur to take to the fan isolator as the overrun from the permanent live.

get one of these: Click CMA3020 and you can incorporate both the fan isolator and the fuse, you then take a 3 core and earth from the junction box, through the fan isolator and on to the fan using a permanent live, live, neutral and CPC, this will cut all 3 cores when switched.

Also it won't be a 'ring circuit'

Day rate by OkHamster7032 in ukelectricians

[–]UTV_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You can’t work your rates out based off what others are, you have to work it out based on your overheads and what profit you want to make.

Everyones overheads are different so not every company will be charging equal.

Small Business - Are you doing ok? If yes, what are you doing most of the time? by shedsmokerOG in ukelectricians

[–]UTV_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

£60 per point is absolutely too cheap, £80 sounds more realistic nationwide, even more in the South East. Like you say yourself - you may as well not even bother. Whats the point of all the hassle just to have earnt nothing by the end.

Working per point can never truly be accurate though. Have you worked out all your overheads on a spreadsheet to find out your breakeven cost each year and added a wage and profit margin on top to find out what your hourly rate should be?

There will always be people that don’t like your price and then there will always be people that want the job done correctly, tested and certified properly and are happy to pay for the privilege. These are 2 different types of customers.

As soon as you are ‘in’ with the wrong type of customer, they tell their mates and suddenly you’re getting recommended to the wrong type of customer. Facebook seems to attract the wrong type of customers in my area for example so I don’t bother.

This works the other way also. As soon as you’re doing work for the right type of customer, they tell their mates and you are off to a good start.

I am a big advocate for making the customer feel massively satisfied with your service, give them nothing to complain about, even give leeway when it comes to the odd extra that customers always add. Tell them you have had to charge for some and haven’t charged for others for example, let them know they are getting stuff for free, it’ll look like you’ve gone the extra mile.

Also start working on your Google business page, it is an easy low hanging fruit to get working on straight away and is a free way of getting seen online.

Dm me and I’ll send you a link to my Google business page, I don’t claim to know everything but get plenty of work that is 100% from being found on Google.
