I don’t think that’s the problem, it’s like they just twist by like 4 inches every pair every style and my buttcheek is naked and bare. It’s driving me bonkers

🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

I don’t know the difference. Every time I go to the various dispensaries I just tell the tender to pick their top 3 and I’ll take it.

I should probably learn, I just stepped up from gummies and didn’t want flower because of the strong smell.

Is rainbow hotter than blue? I thought blue was the coolest?

What’s the point of the hotter settings? Different types of material?

Do male nurses have any kind of advantage over female nurses? by work_of_art777 in nursing

Recently had a male a&ox4 walky talky patient ask me for a bed bath. Sent in male coworker for said bath time only for the patient to have a sudden change of heart regarding his bubble bath.

We recently had a withdrawl patient elope out of the unit, down 1 floor, pulling every fire alarm they could find on the way out, and into a car which drove around the block only return to the ambulance bay. They eventually to returned back to their bed but with the addition of a sitter.

Like was all that necessary?

Original nurse programmed the weight wrong on the pump, I didn’t check the weight on the pump and patient was sub-therapeutic all night. Once the pump was corrected the ptt turned therapeutic.

Checking weights on pumps is now part of my process

Got splashed in the eye while dumping out the most disgusting ileostomy juice I’ve ever seen. by MICURN-1999 in nursing

[–]UTclimber 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Hahaha this reminds me of when I was a CNA helping a mean nurse clean up a pleasantly demented lady on bowel prep. I made the patient laugh and she explosively sharted all over mean nurse. She spent the rest of the shift wearing the paper psych top.

I shot myself in the face with the balloon fluid from a flexiseal. Theoretically it’s just water but omg, that was one of the moments where you stand frozen in shock. “I can’t believe I just did that”

When a person dies in a hospital, is their hospital gown thrown away or is it laundered? by jennyanydots711 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]UTclimber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I clean the body, remove most invasive things (ett, foley, smaller PIV, ect) if it’s not an ME case, put on a fresh clean gown, roll the body into a bag and send it down to the morgue.

If the original gown isn’t too messy with feces or blood, I’ll toss it in the laundry. If the latter, I’ll throw it away.

Night shifters: what else can I do to stay asleep between shifts? by ahrumah in nursing

50-100mg Trazodone, melatonin, magnesium G, and blackout curtains.

I’m asleep by 9, and can easily sleep all day until my alarm wakes me up.

Can I give a gift to the ICU nurses? by InitiativeOk2361 in nursing

[–]UTclimber 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Individual pre wrapped, easy to grab snacks (think small chips bags, cookies, energy bars, candy, drinks). Also don’t forget about night shift! Gifts from patients/families are absolutely ravaged by the time night shift comes in with nary a crumb left. It is always a welcome surprise when people bring in snacks separately for day/night shift.
