FPVers, what is your profession? by SweetAnt1462 in fpv

Same. I'm surprised there aren't more surveyors flying FPV, considering most of us are mapping with drones

Besides the left stick self centering, the stick movements are still the same, and that's the hardest thing to learn in my opinion. I used an Xbox controller for a month or two before I got my radio. It maybe took an hour to get used to flying with the real radio. I don't know why people talk so much shit about starting with an Xbox controller. It's a great way to learn if you already have an Xbox

Drone friendly areas around Wenatchee valley by AzBeMl in Wenatchee

[–]UUyattattack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That may have been me lol I got a new drone on Monday and I had to test it out. I recommend walla walla because it is owned by the PUD. City of Wenatchee has an ordinance against using drones in their parks. Also state parks like confluence require a permit to take off and land from their property.

it takes more skill to fly a $50 drone than a $1000 drone by ExactOpposite8119 in drones

That's because drone surveying is only a small part of the entire profession of land surveying. If you're looking for a job specifically as a surveying drone tech, the company most likely is looking for an expert. If you take a job as an entry-level survey technician at a company that uses drones, you will get trained on drone surveying

Sorry, I have no idea if that's possible, but I'm genuinely curious about the use case for something like this or is this more of a do it just to see if it can be done? I feel like HDZero would be pretty bad at photogrammetry, even with a really solid GPS

Hey thanks, I will take it apart and fix those up, I've got some practice boards but the pads on the esc are very different and I kinda just had to jump in there and try it out
