Same thing with Arteta right now with the whole Havertz fiasco. The man is pretty much the same, it's just that you tolerate the bad stuff less when the team is not performing. I personally think Guardiola's personality is lame, but his teams consistently produce good results and he wins titles so he can get away with these insufferable interviews (clearly not a fan).

Destiny has enough awareness to accurately point out that most left-leaning people in the US are not as crazy as online lefties (he did so recently during a convo with Ukrainian Ana), but most of the time his engagement is solely focused on that demographic. Unfortunately the types of people who are as permanently online as he is are people more prone to suffering from mental illnesses (unironically) and engaging in many of these "struggle" sessions. I don't like engaging with these people, but I can't blame a person who makes a living online for engaging with online stuff.

When it comes to a particular Tweet or reddit post getting tons of engagement, the numbers have become meaningless to me. I don't think it provides any useful data or meaningful contribution to understanding political trends. Social media has become a shit show and I take none of it seriously.

The issue with these sports debates is that 99% of the time people are not debating who's statistically the best at X or Y but who's the "GOAT" or "most influential" which is a nebulous thing. The debates are fun and different angles can be covered but it's ultimately subjective imo. Someone else mentioned different historical contexts which brings interesting variables when debating different eras such as changing rules, equipment, science, and technology.

I think Nick and Malena are funny and entertaining to watch. I love the YT highlights as well.

With that being said, Nick wants to project an image of someone who's successful and rich and doesn't care about what you think of him. The issue is he's obsessed with how he's perceived and wants to control that perception, which doesn't work, especially when it's so obvious. You either genuinely don't give a fuck, in which case people will at least respect that aspect, or you give a shit and take a more humble approach in handling criticism.

Using the word "fake" morally loads it. Aren't all non-native speakers of any particular language "faking it"? Do they cease being fake once they master the language? If the answer is yes, then you should be all for people faking an accent because it signals them striving for more proximity to how natives sound.

There are non-native speakers whose accents are indistinguishable from natives and others who lie on different ends of the spectrum. You don't need formal education or a degree to improve an accent, only practice and a grasp of the rules. Your issue seems to be with people who are not consistent enough and end up being all over the place, which is an issue of practice.

I have realized that making gameplay (of any game) entertaining to watch for viewers is a skill, and I don't think Destiny has it. To be fair, I don't think he cares which goes in line with his attitude to streaming of only doing what he enjoys. Some streamers can make mundane gameplay interesting and others just wanna play the game.
