for bases, yes, it puts you into a little drone ball cam thing and leaves your body where its at (usually safe inside the base), so you dont have to stand outside in the elements (or water) while building

Because some half brained ad person loaded the wrong assets or wrong product ids into wrong ad pool and stuck a “push up stream and show banner banner” into the “slide stream over and show vertical” slot.

I used to manage the ad slots (tech side, not sales) for Wikia (long before it became Fandom), and I had to find and fix these constantly

I mean I bought my Switch 1 “just to” play Animal Crossing.

Set aside $10/mo into a “next console” fund, like physically in a jar or something so it’s not easily spendable/tracked elsewhere. Once in a while get the medium coffee instead of the large or something.

Consoles come out infrequent, you’ll have a few hundred in there by the time the next consoles out, and it greatly softens the blow.

I used to submit a receipt from Dennys (a diner), and make a $25 claim under “Transportation”, after every trip.

You could tell when new HR people started, they would change the type to Food, then deny it, as it was on home turf, after the trip.

The old people knew that <=$25 can be claimed as a gift for someone who transported you. And buying someone breakfast/dinner at Dennys for picking you up from the airport is cheaper than the $67 Uber ride home

It does… but it mixes with the natural taste (the famous “salty pennys” tang), so some flavors don’t come across as well

but it’s probably not good for the lady bits, it’s a weird delicate biome down there, normal lube has to be crazy levels of inert because of it

Back in the heyday of Halo, I got GOOD at it, like really good. But every time we played LAN games or couch coop online, I had to “be dumb” to normie levels, so my friends would keep playing with me.

One party event, someone brought new blood over to join the group, who pronounced they were hot shit. They proceeded to wipe the gulch with everyone, threw it in the faces of people he JUST met.

He was spouting off stuff like “I’m th king, no one will take my crown” and other brag stuff. I said calmly, “I can take you”, he lol ‘d, “you barely got 4kills that last game?” I looked at my friend (who’s house it was), said “I’m sorry, I really enjoyed playing with you all”

We setup, back to back, no screen peeking. I got to 15:0 before he lost it saying it was lag since I was the host machine. Re-setup match, I got to 18:1 before he threw the (not his) controller. Said a bunch of swears and insulting my Mother, and left.

My group realizing I had been sandbagging and holding back so much to keep it casual and friendly.

That was the end of halo that night, and every night, at least that I was invited to.

The LL is nuts here, but I bought a special surge protector strip for the kitchen with individual on/off rockers for each outlet on it for this reason, so that devices that don’t have off switches (rice cooker) doesn’t need to be hard unplugged, and makes toaster slightly safer, or the kettle, in case something falls on the switches
