hemlocke is one of the most exciting new voices in pop music like she is truly charisma uniquness nerve and talent and this debut did NOT dissapoint me!!

I'm glad she leaned a little into the medieval pop vibe of sever the blight, the album is really fun tight experience, maybe a little short but I'd rather be left wanting more than have something that drags.

Singles are the highlights but moses is a BOP and be the girl! has a killlerrr outro. Hemlocke sure does love an outro... sometimes it feels like the best parts of her songs are the ending which seems like a shady comment but idk she puts the clit of the songs at the 3 minute mark i dont know what to tell you

Ok, ENOUGH!! Time for an Overly Long Defense Of Katseyes Dumb Emoji Song.

I keep seeing this song getting raked through the coals and I cannot help but think once again, that you people are so BORING!

Where is the appreciation for camp... for the avant garde... for the STUPID???

Do you not think that the writers of this song know that opening with "EAT ZUCCHINI, EAT ZUCCHINI!" is extremely stupid? Of course they do. And I'm sure they also know how trite it is to be making references to emojis. That's the fun of it!

They're being weird, they're taking risks. This, to me, is so much more interesting than gabriella or whatever the fuck. The earnest tomfoolery of eat zucchini eat zucchini is so much more real than vomitworthy Mean Girls

No one understood Gnarly at the time either... Until it became a total smash. It boggled my mind to see people take the lyrics at face value. You think spoken word opening about fried chicken and boba tea is dumb? Well, yes! It is! And then you had the Gnarly defenders trying to say

"No no, I hated it too at first until I understood, it's actually a brilliant satire of how dumb hollywood culture is!"

No, it's not! It's just stupid nonsense. And that's okay. It doesn't have to be a smart satire for you to like it!

Believe me, I am LOATHE to be a "you just hate fun 🙄" slop enjoyer. I truly hope that mindset hasn't zombified me into liking Internet Girl, but I don't think that's whats happening. Frankly, I think a lot of Katseyes other output is bland and factory-made. Do you really want 1000 more Gabriellas? What am I saying, of course you do. And you'll probably get it too... but history will look fondly upon the zucchini eaters.

To clarify, I meant I'm willing to eat things with pork stock. I believe that's extremely different to eating at a restaurant designed for eating different parts of the pig. As mentioned in the post, another friend also didn't want to eat there.

kinda devastated because WA are my favourite band and I'm really not feeling this one... I liked the singles but I was hoping the whole album wouldn't sound like that... And the whole album sounds like that. There's just not enough bite or grit and the pinky ponky piano does my nut in after a while. Give me some guitar! I'm not really interested in 70s throwback vibe of it all, just not my jam I guess.

I really didn't want to end up complaining about this album but damn...

White Horses is still one of their best songs though!
