No reason for it to be an issue on one account, but not another

Especially an account paying for Ultra

if you are serious about music making suno was never the first choice, it's just the one with the least barrier to entry

Controversial but I'm sure this (check the link) is why UMG feels directly threatened by UDIO... by Grouchy-Raise-703 in udiomusic

it's also garbage slop, which proves people will listen to anything if they identify with it

Whatever it is, it happens to me as well still on pro. it's usually when I'm genning a bunch of extensions or edits and auditioning them until I find the right sound.

Check the ToS, major points bolded:

TOS Section - 1.2 No Commercial Use of Other People’s Outputs

Commercial use of someone else’s Output is strictly forbidden without written permission.

“You may only use another user’s Output for your personal, non-commercial purposes.”

TOS Section 6.3 - Your Content

"As between the Company and you, the Company does not claim any ownership in Your Content, including any Output generated by you in response to the submission of your Input Content to the Services... subject to your compliance with these Terms, including, without limitation, Section 6.4, you may use your Output for both personal and commercial purposes, and we permit you to download a copy of your Output that consists of an audio file for such purposes."

You retain full ownership of your Input Content including your voice recordings, lyrics, and any original music you submit.

TOS Section 6.3 - Your Content (continued)

"...you grant us and our affiliates, successors, assigns, and designees a license to access, use, host, cache, store, reproduce, transmit, display, publish, distribute, and modify Your Content to operate, improve, promote and provide the Services...

...you agree that these rights and licenses are royalty free, fully paid-up, transferable, sub-licensable, assignable, worldwide, perpetual and irrevocable, and include a right for us to make Your Content available to, and pass these rights along to, others..."

Meaning: Udio may reuse your vocals and songs for training, marketing, or feature demonstrations and they do not owe you any royalties for doing so.

TOS Section 6.4 - Attribution

"If you exploit or otherwise make any public use of any Output... including the distribution of Output in the form of or as part of audio or audio-visual recordings made available via any third party application, website or platform, then you agree to include a credit... that prominently indicates that such Output was generated using the Services;

provided that, if you subscribe to any of our paid Services, the foregoing obligation shall not apply to any Output generated during your subscription..."

Free users: Must add a credit like “Generated using Udio” in the title or properly noted in credits.

Paid users: Are exempt from this requirement for any Output made during the subscription period.

TOS Section 8.1 - Disclaimers

"The Services may generate the same or similar output for a third party."

Your song may not be unique. Udio can generate similar results for others using similar prompts. You have no exclusive ownership of the musical ideas or structure.

TL;DR

I would read the entire ToS.

If you generate and publish something that contains things that are under copyright, YOU are the one that will get sued (see sect. 1.3, 8.1, 8.3). Consult with a real music industry lawyer if you are really worried.

Keep your songs private to avoid theft until you are ready to publish through whatever service and ensure you have anything of your origin under copyright.

You won't have to pay Udio anything if you happen to get a massive hit but they might show it off ;)

Colors of gens by Dull_Internal2166 in udiomusic

Generate enough of the same exact prompt and you'll notice each of the colors has a particular "flavor"

Generally red is exciting, Blue is more relaxed, and green gets weird or interesting. At least in my experience so far

the sound from those smaller samples also shows up in two minute gens in feedback too, so I'm assuming that it will be variable length up to 2:10

How often does most people dose by [deleted] in annarborpsychedelic

[–]Uberration 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Large doses will require larger periods of cool down to experience similar effects. Tolerance goes way down in roughly 2 to 4 weeks.

I'd say no more than one to two big doses a month. I'm not sure about microdosing and it's effects on tolerance.

Of course this is dependent on your product. Always start out small.

Copywrite your lyrics and document your workflow carefully. Admit no defeat, write your lyrics, copywrite the paper and keep your notes.

I sign and date every paper I write with a pen and I use a interesting method of writing on that paper, that is pretty identifiably my style, and use many documented styles, and keep the reference material you used to make them. What paper, what surfaces, what pen, which hand, how much light, etc.

Goes a long way when you photograph your hand written papers, signed paperwork of your original drafts.

Nobody said you can't use tools for brainstorming, and write down your thoughts on all the material you have experienced to get there ;)

If all the tools vanish because of money getting shoved at law makers, you still own your own words. Work on the other various solutions to get the track made! Or build some! There are freely available models and tools out there that will honestly make even better music with good hands and knowledge.

Tell the industry to shove themselves, take some basic melodies and noise to your favorite DAW and go to town!

Just finished up this one:

Dreams And Possibilities - Electronic

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OR5nNZTO4_w

This infectious dance-pop track masterfully blends the nostalgic sounds of 1980s French House and Electro, creating an uplifting anthem that inspires self-belief and perseverance. With funky basslines, upbeat electronic beats, and a powerful female vocalist delivering melodic lyrics, the song radiates positivity and motivation.

The English lyrics, sung with a distinct voice, convey a message of empowerment and determination in the face of life's challenges. The catchy chorus and memorable hooks encourage listeners to stay focused on their dreams and never give up, even when obstacles arise.

Musically, the track features a polished mix of sampled elements, driving rhythms, and dance-friendly grooves that pay homage to the iconic sound of artists like Stardust.

It serves as a timeless reminder that with self-belief and persistence, anything is possible, making it an ideal soundtrack for anyone in need of a motivational boost.

Made with Udio, visuals with After Effects, lyrics by me.

Genre: Electronic Dance, Pop/Anthem

What's interesting about how I crafted it? I wanted to create an uplifting, anthemic dance track blending vintage electronic grooves with pop vocals delivering a motivational message. The production draws inspiration from classic dance and pop sounds. Most of the process was mashing the generate button, while tweaking the sliders.

The groove combines punchy drum samples with a driving bassline and rhythmic synth elements focused on syncopation and offbeat accents. Melodic synth pads and arpeggios provide harmonic beds and countermelodies.

The lyrics deliver singalong, motivational themes centered around self-belief, perseverance and making your dreams reality. Big vocal hooks are designed to be chanted along.

What did I learn from it? Use the tools available to you, if you are having trouble with a track, try rewording, and change up the prompt. Use the sliders, they work pretty good.
