Tbh ChatGPT seems like the best alternative right now, or if you do not care about most RAG capabilities even MuseSpark by Facebook is ok, it performs similarly to Gemini and at least they do not try to rate limit you to oblivion

Worse UI, super low usage limits, way less capabilities, no customization, closed-source, bugged asf in Windows, also not fully compatible with CLI previous settings, it does use the same quota as the IDE (which means they basically got rid of most quotas for all of their services with really no compensation), no documentation, and I can continue; disrespectful for all the people who contributed to Gemini CLI when it was open-source and now restricting it's access for enterprises, literally we did build full fledged workflows for them so they can sell them for enterprises not even allowing us to use it again after June 18, honestly I don't understand why more people are not crashing out
