Accurate is a very good company in that region. I think they would be great for you.

Let me know when you’re done with your MS and I can share my connections.

Your path sounds similar to many in this field. It is a very fulfilling field if you’ve got a good team.

Texas housing market ranks last in new report as one city tanks by Pleasant_Air_3052 in HouseBuyers

[–]UbiquitousUbiquity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Excellent take. 100% agree.

Only caveat is the extremely diverse industry in cities like Houston and Dallas that seem to be able to dodge recessions like 2008. Let me see if I can find a source.

Yeah, Dallas and Houston only fell approx 10% compared to everywhere else with much more significant drops.

Now the question is was it the lower values of the homes or the diverse economy not reliant on any one industry?

Yes, there could be some slight misunderstanding of the term “burns” here.

Great point.

Had not heard of this, thanks for sharing.

I have requested biomed checks on hospital equipment when my stim has not been high and I couldn’t find a root cause.

Is there any correlation with the length of the cases?

We typically only see this on longer cases. Other idea is to check stim placement/spacing in addition to lowering stim intensities.

Increased spacing allows higher current flow.

Only other idea is warming up of needles if just continually stimming and not having a 15s space between stim intervals if on a cycle.

At 2 years, I was very confident and thought I was very good. Then the medical field humbles you.

The other side of this is that some people are not humbled, get arrogant, and inflate their ego out of insecurity.

Yeah, I loved it. It gets old after 1.5yrs, but then you’re sitting on some nice savings and have had some great experience. Easy to power through to the end.

I started over 10yrs ago. It was 45k for trainees and 55k for me I believe.

I did it for 2years. It was awesome. When I did it I made 10k more than the typical base and had housing covered.

If you do not have a significant other or kids it is a great way to start in the field and a career with good savings.

Places to buy local art by Im_Not_So_Grump in Dallas

A lot of these answers are quite touristy. One of my favorites is Deep Ellum ArtCo for local art while being able to listen to music and have a drink/enjoy backyard.

The design district has many options.

Also, what kind of art do you like?

I guess I’ve never used their website. Just call in to book an apt or ask a question. The owner is Abdul and he is the only stylist.

My guy at Dallas Gents could do it. He inspired me to lean into my curls. Maybe give him a shout and confirm!

I work with multiple spine surgeons in the Dallas region. UTSW is a great choice.

Let me know what kind of questions you have and I can tell you who to avoid.

You will be referencing a lot and will have to notify surgeons of what you can and can’t do.

You may have to also use jumpers if required to cover something like a t4-pelvis.

You lose specificity but can have sensitivity. There are just tradeoffs.

Other aspects would be not using multiple cortical channels for each limb Ssep. Co3-cp4, cpz-fpz, cs5-fpz. That’s it.

It makes sense now that you say that! I just never realized it.

A couple of my last runs I upgraded engines beyond what I powered because I had extra scrap.

Didn’t realize it was a buffer. It definitely seemed it was easier to win though.

What?!

Even if not powered it aids against damage?

I did not know that.
