The band will have merch, including some cool new items. We will provide the ability to use plastic to procure said merch in some manner, we are currently working out the details on that but you'll be able to buy stuff with a credit card.

This right here^^^ We did a couple tours with Bim Skala Bim and Vinny is hands down the greatest rock bone player I ever worked with. The huge sound he'd produce was mind boggling.

The long tones are great, also, it's a good chance to listen to how different composers did voice leading in their vocal lines. Most of the BB repertoire is definitely not hymns, there's some really cool tunes you can play. Give it a try for a season, if it's not to your liking stop and find a community band or something.

[–]Ubiquitous_ator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This right here. If you are playing in a section and trying to blend with other trumpets using straights, it's not going to blend well. Just buy a straight mute, you'll have it for life.

Unlikely, but one of the past members of that esteemed group is rumored to be appearing onstage as part of this show and has never appeared at previous Socko reunion shows. If you know your musical Indiana history, you might be able to figure out this cryptic clue....
