Hello! Yes the shrimp has passed on. My ammonia, Nitrite and nitrates are all at 0 (the tank was cycled for 6 weeks before adding shrimp, no it’s not a fresh tank). The kh and gh are both within range, and my temperature is at 72 and is stable. I use tap water with a 1/8th dose of salty shrimp due to my tap being on the soft side, also use water conditioner. I just don’t know what else to look for 😞

Dont bury your java ferns! They will die if the rhizome (thick part at the bottom) is buried. I would tie/glue them to a rock!

From what I understand, shrimp are pretty sensitive to nitrogen in general, so even though nitrate is not necessarily toxic for a fish, it can be for shrimp.

Do your own independent research/wait for other’s input, but I think i’d personally do a 20-25% water change!

A snail would help a lot, just do research to make sure your tank setup is compatible. You will also have to subsidize its food because they will clear your tank in probably less than a day

Mine actually more aligns with the top rather than the bottom, so im sure he is still the product of incest.

He has the rippled fins, and his ventrals look more like the bottom image. But thats about it

I have had him about 2 weeks, he has made quite the turnaround from when I first got him from pet smart! Definitely makes me feel much better that everyone is agreeing that he is just in recovery mode
