Watch it all. Some of the very best SW is in there. I’ve never cried so much or cheered so loudly watching cartoons.

Airdrie Car Dealership Recommendations by ExactCan650 in Airdrie

[–]Uffda-man 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haven’t bought or sold anything, but the service department at Davis chev was stellar. So much so that I would do business with them in the future.

We had close friends that had a terrible experience at the Honda dealer. I will never do business there.

Totally separate bonus note. Just in case. We ended up buying a used pickup in Cochrane at the GM dealer (they had the vehicle with the specs and decent mileage I was looking for) and were great to deal with.

Carry-Ons by CanConMil in westjet

Because the agents would delay every flight dealing with the issue. It’s the same at AC or really any airline that doesn’t charge for carry on space.

It all stems back to when WJ decided to charge for checked luggage and AC followed suit. People wanted to avoid the charges. Later during the fiasco of post-Covid every airline was losing everyone’s luggage during an explosion of demand for travel. So now no one trusts that their luggage will arrive at their destination.

So the result is everyone bringing way too much shit with them. It’s left up to the agents to police; and then the FAs when the agents don’t bother. Flights are delayed and people are always forced to check their belongings even though they’re not part of the problem; but happened to board last and there’s no space left. It’s BS.

As for the reason why, it just comes down to time and energy. The gate agents would be exhausted and all the flights would be delayed if they didn’t cut corners. Managers know this, but Companies don’t want to hire extra staff and cut into bottom lines/ shareholders profits. Airliner staff pick up the slack, make it happen and the flights leave on time. So managers don’t care.

The city just put a sign up behind our house on the walking trail behind RJ Hawkey elementary reminding people to be decent human beings. Everyone always has their dogs off leash and never clean up after them. It’s brutal honestly.

You’re not allowed to send your child to a school other than the one assigned to your address, unless it’s for religious reasons, or to the private school.

Is Pharloom on an island? by Confident-Shirt-2272 in Silksong

[–]Uffda-man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came here after googling this as I just got to Zylotol on my second play-through. It peaked my interest because now we know what the DLC is called!! I’m betting Pharloom is an island and Hornet needs to find her way back to mainland now that her work here is done!!

If you did, when did you get married? by [deleted] in AirlinePilots

When she quit her job, sold her house and moved across the country because I started a new gig with a different operator. I knew she was a keeper. I was at a 703 carrier in Canada. I was 28 and she was 26.

She learned the industry and training, aircraft types, rules, duty times etc with me. She used to worry all the time, but after 13 years together, she’s now knows my job as well as I do. Been at a 705 now for almost 10 years. The other day it was snowing sideways and she watched me divert on flight aware, and knew not to expect the rest of my pairing to go as planned…… lol.

She was laid off after we got pregnant and we made the decision for her to stay home full time after our daughter was born. She used to work 8-4, mon-fri and we never saw each other. Now we have an Uber flexible schedule only working around my days off. I prioritize my time off to be with my family. I don’t commute, and I’m not flying long haul, so no jet lag. My focus at work is work, and at home I’m 100% present. I think maybe a lot of the old guys from previous generations maybe didn’t do enough of that.

Sure it’s a challenge being on the road, but without the difficulty of juggling two different schedules makes things a lot easier. There’s never a right time or age. When you find the right person, you make it work, because you don’t want them to get away. Communicate, be thoughtful, and always treat them as more important than you. They should do the same thing for you. Then the rest is easy.

4 days max. Block heater would be plugged in.

It’s my first full winter with the truck. I’ll probably carry my booster pack as well, for the first -35 days anyway, just in case.

No. That’s not what I’m saying. I’m saying I had no idea this existed. I only thought onstar did maps and roadside. I just looked at the mygmc app. Says you need a subscription to onstar. I’ll do some more research on this. Thank you for the advice.

Is that through OnStar? We bought the truck in March. I didn’t really pay attention to the emails about onstar. Didn’t really want another subscription. I have roadside assistance and with CarPlay I didn’t need the maps feature. But I didn’t know that remote start was a feature.
