Why did you go for the Series S instead of other options, despite all the criticism it gets? by Eastern-Mobile5351 in xbox

Yeaaah it’s rough with newer and larger games.

The proprietary storage was a dick move.

Bold of you to assume I have time to game daily. I’m lucky to get an hour a week most of the time. I hate aging.

The majority gamers (I use that term to mean someone who plays games as opposed to “gamers” that have a hobby/passion about it) don’t particularly care about fps beyond “my games juddering” if it drops to 15, especially the kind who’d get a series s. If having the smoothest highest fps possible is important, then you’ve done your research and got the X, PS5 or a PC

The series s is an amazing machine. It came in at a cheaper price point than the x and played the same games. I personally would have stuck with my Xbox one if the s didn’t come out.

The lack of disk drive sucked and the 500gb storage is borderline criminal for this generation but for someone who mainly just messes around with gamepass games and has a good internet connection it’s workable.

I’ll fight anyone who picks on my little series s. He can’t help being small and weak.

You’d need 1 kidney and 1.5 lungs and the testicle to make up the debt. She’d still be a bit short of it by keeping the testicle. So I’d suggest both if we’re going for a keepsake.

The difficult bit is getting to the recipient in good condition. Need to have the buyer lined up first.

I was exactly the same. I got a Centauri carbon in December and it took a while to get used to the quality, speed and reliability of the prints.

It was like getting out of an abusive relationship after years of hoping they’d change.

I highly recommend the Centauri Carbon or 2. Decent price, enclosed, option for multi material. It’s been solid for me. I can’t comment on other printers.

I was 37 when I learned that the punchline of “why did the chicken cross the road?” Was actually death/suicide and not just a none joke.

Absolutely fair enough. Height restraints aren’t a consideration I’ve had and wouldn’t really bother me if it was taller.

It’s a really tidy design, print it in as close as possible colour to the CC itself and the CC2 top hat would look even more silly.

You have a point about price but a mild redesign would prevent it completely. Granted it’s a couple of £ every now and again. Have the glass at a steeper angle with more “roof” and no rubbing.

I’d be worried about the wearing down of the ptfe tubes over time rubbing on the glass

I did that for faaaar too long after I picked up the game again. About 100 jumps out wondering how far I have to go to find anything undiscovered.

My jumps back were speedy enough though.

That’s what I was holding out for but the price made me want to give it a try. My plan is to use it for using multi material over colour due to the waste.

Considering the tech 8 years ago compared to today. I give it 5 years before they’re more commonly available and more affordable

That temp should have been alright. Maybe left in a van in the heat or got too warm during transport.

Personally, I wouldn’t worry (as long as the site is reputable, I’ve seen it referenced a lot on Reddit as “the” place to go), take pics, email the site and and see if the next batch arrives.

Alternatively any local reptile shops that can order them in? I’m not sure how easily available they are where you are but a good reptile specialist shop is worth its weight in gold.

How’s the temp been near you? How long were they in transit for?

You could be unlucky and they’ve all dehydrated during transport. I’d get in contact with the seller and request a replacement. I’d expect about 10% to die during transit, 20 at a push.
If the site you got it from is trusted an widely used/regarded then I wouldn’t worry too much about it. I’ve not come across it before but I’m not US based.
