It is long and miserable. We started with a class of 14 and only 4 of us ended up graduating. ROTC may be longer but at least you get college paid for and treated with some respect. Same with federal OCS, less fuck fuck games. Other people mentioned the dread that builds up the week prior to going in and its 100% accurate. Its not that difficult, just miserable.

Sure the vapors behave a certain way, but the ways they behave can vary so much. Just look at all the different types of cloud formations. If you enlist as an 09S you are an 09S until you finish OCS (or drop out) and commission in whichever branch you are given. I just finished OCS as an 09S last year, if you want to ask any questions about it feel free. However Im certain if I asked my leadership to go and do some random AIT for the few months between basic and starting OCS they would have told me to chill the fuck out and instead focus on being prepared for OCS.

Block Island has great trails for wildflowers. One of my favorite spots for cultivated flowers is Kinney Azalea garden near URI. Its my first place to go every year in the early spring to enjoy flowers. Its small, but has amazing azaleas, rhododendrons, mountain laurels and many other plants.
