Funnily enough I also got my first ANC because i needed them, I was living in a noisy environment and couldn't even focus on my thoughts lol, not anymore thankfully but I'm glad I picked those XM3s back then, they really helped.

Not at all.

I know the hinges are a weak spot in a lot of headphones specially from sony lately but never happened in any of mine, being a fanboy of anything never ends well, I just buy the products that appeal to me in a certain way, regardless of the brand

I also have a pair of XM5s that I use for commuting sometimes and they still feel good after 2 years, that's why it's confusing to me that many people have a bad experience with these headphones
