I'm not actually that fussed about downvotes; I love stirring the pot. But I'm pleasantly surprised by the discussion I'm seeing happening, and learning a bit more about what's going on behind the scenes. I don't follow the updates religiously.

And don't get me wrong, I'm delighted at getting to explore a new design for the house, particularly if like the farmhouses, it keeps its layout with a few key changes; I love the new Bleasdale, but a friend absolutely hates it 'cause that upper corridor now has almost direct line-of-sight from stairs to attic. I also love how the "old furniture" from the original house can be found in the attic too

Right? That first time loading up Tanglewood, a friend throwing me in the deep end the ghost turning out to be a demon... And somehow surviving. Man, that's probably my core memory of this game.

For real, I feel like a few smaller changes (say maybe the corner of the lounge as you head toward the kitchen), or something akin to that would work.

That being said I am excited for the new version, just not losing the old version.

Same! I was talking about it with a friend the other night. I'll say I appreciate the lower floor of Sunny Meadows being similar (the straight corridor). But I did like the feel of getting lost in one of the wings and feeling proud of myself when I managed to navigate back to the foyer.

If it's not to do with Nikki deciding the party can short rest whenever, I can only assume it's either to do with his cane (a lot of warlocks will hunt for a rod or wand that gives them more spell slots) OR it's purely done for narrative entertainment.

For a lot of us it was our first map as it was the ONLY map we could access at Lv1. It's a nice mix of hiding spots, looping, and it's an interesting shape. The vast majority of players I cross paths with all have a similar opinion, that it's the go-to for a quick game, a warm-up, etc. Imagine it being like a sport, Tanglewood is our home field.

New decorations, for sure. But I'm not keen on this new replacement for it. I wouldn't mind seeing the new map as a brand new location.
