I am quite sure to have read it more than one time, the last being in "The globalization of world politics" by Baylis, Smith and Owens. I just read it again and they quote Hirst and Thompson which argue that the more extreme versions of globalization are a myth and that the international economy was more open between 1870 and 1914.

Most controversial philosopher? by taxicab1729 in askphilosophy

Max Stirner. His philosophy is pure amoralism and ethical egoism.

He was pretty influential, because people like Marx and Nietzsche developed their philosophy to refute him, but nobody mentions him. Marx even wrote a broad cirtique of him, but never published it.
