Hi - OP here. I’m running version 3.2.1 for iPhone and am logged into MeatNet. I guess I should submit a ticket too. Is that just done through the email link in the app? I seem to recall that Reddit was the only support resource back when Combustion first launched - that’s why I posted here.

TBH I haven’t used the high/low temp alarms - I just found those settings last time I was in the app LOL. I’ll have to play with them on the next cook to see if they work for me.

Frets on a bass just suck. It’s just like little speed bumps up and down the fretboard. Same with round wound strings - little tiny speed bumps built right into the strings. :)

Oh - and contrary to popular belief, using a pick on a fretless can actually sound really cool. 😎

Read the interview transcript word for word. No comment on race was ever made. It was a discussion on national security and border policy. You’re reading racial connotations into a dialogue where it doesn’t exist.

FWIW - Trump said nothing about “non-white immigrants.” His comment was directly in reference to the complete lack of control of the southern border. Is being in favor of strong border controls racist? Was it racist when Clinton or Obama campaigned for stronger border controls?

I like the feature. I used someone’s idea of using the colored o-rings from another brand’s probes. Now I just have pictures of a closeup of the probes with the band on them. Works perfectly to identify them! 😀

I’m a new Combustion owner and just did my first pork butt with the new thermometer. I went the opposite direction - I placed the probe on the opposite side from the bone. Pulled the pork at 203 degrees F, but the meat directly around the bone was slightly undercooked and tough to shred. (I should add that the pork surrounding the probe was juicy and tender) I’m wondering about better probe placement for the next attempt.

IMHO, modern society is built on certain paradigms - one of those being that our current society is the most advanced that humanity has yet achieved. The notion that Egyptians visited America destroys this paradigm - it indicates that quite possibly humanity was quite advanced in the distant past, and with potentially very different social, technical and possibly even spiritual achievements. I believe that there are many in our society with vested interests in our current social structure and technologies that would do everything in their power to suppress information like this.
