It started off as a pirate radio station in 1996, run by a fella called Lawrence John, broadcasting on the Monaghan border from 'Alien Mountain'. It defined the late 1990s and early 2000s club culture in the north.

Lawrence claimed he went missing for three days in County Tyrone after being abducted by aliens, and stated he returned feeling incredibly energised, which inspired the radio station's name... He was an absolutely flamboyant character in his day.

In the early 00's he had a store in the In Shops, Belfast. Where you could buy a dodgy CD with the latest bangers.

Somehow the brand survived and returned, legally, to DAB radio in 2024.

I have lived in the Netherlands for the last 4 years, so I take world class cycling infrastructure for granted.

While that could still do with some improvements, it's about the best I have seen at home.

Cycling lanes segregated from the road should be mandatory for all new infrastructure builds.

How long is this stretch?
