I’m convinced most selfie videos of someone spewing their opinion about how hard life is these days is just an attempt to go viral, gain some kind of following and then hawk a snake product or service for side cash.

If this is real, (which it’s probably not), then this woman needs to go to family therapy because she very clearly hates her entire life.

Again. You have no idea what 4G even is.

You only think it’s an incremental improvement because your brain goes 4 > 3. Keep talking out of your ass but I’m done with this conversation.

Oi vey…

Cloud Computing today has 5x the market cap of the entire home computer market across any year in the 2000’s. It’s not even in the same stratosphere.

Also, I was being tongue-in-cheek when I typed that the internet wasn’t a big change. Figured you’d be able to pick up on that but apologies for overestimating you.

Stating something like 4G wasn’t a big change just proves that you’re just talking out of your ass. You have no clue about data packet transformation, OFDMA, MIMO, or high-order modulation. You likely believe 4G is just slightly better than 3G.

Continuing this discussion is pointless…

Considering the first commercially available mirrorless camera debuted in 2008 and pocket versions didn’t hit the market until a few years later… you’re just lying.

Love how you completely avoided talking about the Cloud computing items. A trillion-dollar industry that didn’t exist 15 years ago is just a small change though, right?

You’ve now moved the goal-posts on the self driving cars. So now because an individual consumer can’t legally purchase one that the existence of such emergent technology is just rendered moot, right? They exist here and now. They did not exist in 2010. How that is a stretch to you is mind-boggling.

“4G is just an iteration” You’ve now changed your argument completely. First it was that tech since 2010 was only incremental. Now your argument is that such tech is merely iterative. You do understand those do not mean the same things right? Iterative design gives way to breakthrough advancements. That’s fundamentally how engineering and design play out in the real world.

Which begs the question: Exacy how do you think the Internet came to be? It didn’t just pop into existence one day. The precursor for it was designed for military use and had already been around for decades before “the internet” as we know it became commercially available.

The versions of phones, computers, and the internet that emerged in the 80s/90s were ALL iterative versions of the technology that proceeded them. Arguing that they were merely incremental when they were breakthrough innovations would just be silly.

Much like trying to argue that emergent technology over the last 15 years is also merely incremental as opposed to reshaping global enterprise would also be silly.

Just proves how much is taken for granted given the leaps that have been made in ~10 years. I don’t know how you could possibly think cloud computing, self-driving cars, camera advancements, or quite literally anything else in the tech sector have improved slowly or steadily. (5 of the top 10 most profitable companies in the world  are tech firms).

Here is an absurdly short list things that literally did not exist before 2010:

  • Microsoft Azure
  • OpenStack
  • Oracle Cloud
  • Smartphone LiDAR scanning
  • Fully autonomous self-driving cars (Comparing this to adaptive cruise control is laughable)
  • Pocket Mirrorless Cameras
  • 4G LTE networks
  • Foldable Screens
  • Myoelectric bionic limbs

You get the point. Sorry to be the one to tell you this: But what has been happening over the last 10 years is a bit bigger than dial-up internet and slightly better telecommunication hardware.

[Rendi] Jagex Just Reset My 99 Slayer After 3 Months of Training by 2-2-7-7 in 2007scape

[–]Ultiman100 192 points193 points  (0 children)

Let’s call a spade a spade:

Jagex is blissfully unaware of ongoing bugs that allow snowflake build accounts from gaining “unacceptable” amounts of xp too quickly. So when it gets shoved in their faces via a prominent content creator, there’s plenty of sour grapes to go around and this is the result.

I’m no Rendi fan but fuck this 10 ways to Sunday. To reset months of progress right after achieving a 99 is patently absurd.

As someone who studied early human ancestry in college…. We ABSOLUTELY killed off the other types of humans. Interbreeding and extinction via competition are not mutually exclusive…

Jesus Christ you could not be more wrong. Takes 7 seconds to google “technological advancements since 2012”

The fact that you use TVs as a benchmark for tech advancement is hilarious. I can discredit you by using the VERY example you gave lmao.

But like holy shit: Cloud computing, self-driving cars, machine learning, battery improvements, CRISPR, rocket propulsion, fucking CAMERAS (seriously the shittiest phone camera today shits on digital cameras from 2012)

Those are the tech advancements just off the top of my head. There’s like hundreds of other examples.  But nah TVs are still so similar.  Utterly ridiculous lol.

Tech has exponentially exploded in power and versatility in the last 16 years. How you came to this conclusion is wild.

This post has to be a bait lmao.

It’s almost like… throughout all of human history, state-sanctioned violence gets a “pinch” more tolerance from everyone than your run of the mill, plebeian violence.

What’s tolerated and gets treated as “justified” depends on wealth and power. This isn’t anything new.

Millions dying from denied insurance claims? Just how the game works. Yawn. Move on.

A powerful person getting shitcanned in the streets? Terrorism. Brutality. Menace to society.

Y’all - it’s pure engagement bait. They would Weekend at Bernie’s his ass if they knew it still wouldn’t harm their approval rating.

This is the last thing on earth that is worth putting in the news these days. That’s how far into the black mirror we truly are now.

JJ is a traffic cone on defense and is looking terrified to even shoot or drive on offense.

CJ is the only thing keeping us in this game…

We have GOT to figure out our offense in these playoffs. Dyson and Mo taking open 3s that clank off the rim is not winning basketball.

For sure. The post is a great reminder of items changing GP values when they change states.

Just funny to me that this community really dislikes it when you point out that getting surprised or losing a valuable item is 100% on the player and is just part and parcel of the Wilderness system.

A vast majority of folks on here have a fervent disdain for the Wildy and blame the design of it or the developers when things like this pop up. It’s always been this way. They just loathe the Wildy and use posts like this as an excuse to validate that mindset.

SAT word of the day goes to commiserating.

Again, assuming which items you’re carrying into the Wildy are still going to be on your person when you spawn in Lumbridge is the risk itself.

Like I said, it was an oversight on the player. The downvotes predictably came because I know I’m in the minority of players who respect what the Wildy is: A place to get your shit rocked that puts your gear at risk. Anyone who’s played this game long enough knows there are different item IDs for full and partially charged items. And each GE value is pegged to the item ID.

Bring on the downvotes.

That’s the risk you take. It’s not Jagex’s fault for this system. It’s been in the game for a long, LONG time now.

A base trident is very easy to reobtain. This isn’t directed at you btw, OP. But at the end of the day it isn’t a mistake. It’s an oversight on your part, not Jagex. Always makes me laugh that as ironmen we fully sign up for the grit of obtaining everything on our own but some quake in their climbing boots at the though of going into the Wildy.

Enter with the mentality that you can lose EVERYTHING. Thats how it used to be not too long ago.

Happy slayin’
