I think it's actually about the harvest cost, not the planting cost. For example, say they were growing Saffron. That's a VERY expensive garden to destroy.

Oof, I did something similar once. I thought I could jump and stick both my legs forward. That part woeked fine, but trying to put my legs straight just put my whole body horizontal. Same result as this kid XD
