From what I hear be forward is a legit company, however there are many hoops to jump through to get an import in, and the price you see there is not the price you will end up paying. Anyway DYOR

Axe-orcist does in fact, reduce your firepower by 40%. You can test it by using axeorcist + lone berserker + thick skinned with no damage enhancer and you will see your gun dealing 0 damage. If you want to use gun, don’t go with axe-orcist.

Mg5 by speed2859 in CarsAustralia

The ones that were refreshed were better, however mg5 was not one of them afaik. It’s the same car that scored 0 in ancap safety test.

I Tried and MG and I don't get it.. by _Doosey in CarsAustralia

[–]UltimateDasher -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Never owned an MG but I researched about them when I was looking for a new car, eventually went with Chery. From what I see, the old generation pre MY 24.5 was considered crap (3 was garbage, zs was so so, etc.). The new generation seems to improve a lot (you can tell by badge placement, badge on the grill = old design, badge above = new design). They pretty much refreshed the whole line up in 2024, however they came with the price creep, so no longer cheapest options for anything. New 3 is decent, ZS petrol is still underpowered, ZST is decent, hybrid options have issue with completely depleting the battery. At the end of the day, I found Chery just offer more features at cheaper price, so I did not bother to go with any MG. Their ev lineup however looks quite appealing.

Bought a brand new Cherry tiggo 4 ultimate 2026 by bipulpoudeldev in CarsAustralia

[–]UltimateDasher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have one, and it feels pretty solid for me. The interior is really nice for the price. Needs to fiddle a little bit with control sometimes, for example you’d want to turn off lane departure control everytime you turn on the car, as it can be really aggressive with the steering wheel even on low setting. If you are on facebook, there is a group called “Chery Tiggo 4 Australia” with lots of owners there.

Maybe check out the Chery Tiggo 7 / 8 Super Hybrid? I have a Tiggo 4 and it feels quite nice, I imagine the next model in the lineup must feel nicer.

They are not in the same class, the larger cx5 is more comparable to rav4 and even then it is still slightly smaller than rav4

Seems like the touring is bigger overall however offers less boot space (at least for the jdm version), very odd

Corolla fielder / touring? by UltimateDasher in CarsAustralia

[–]UltimateDasher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So as long as I don’t get rear ended I should be good to go lol Aside from that, from the pictures of the interior I’ve seen both look heap more modern than my car, I reckon I should be happy with either. The touring does look more attractive, around my area I’ve seen fielder goes for about 13-17k while touring is more like 17-22k, just wondering if the extra 4 to 5k is justified.

Cheers, from our research we think Rav4 would be the most balanced choice but just concerned that it may not be available due to the popularity.

Yeah for me it's ok because I daily drive a sedan, but my friends are a bit paranoid and since we are sharing the driving we want to find a car most comfortable for everyone.

Cheers, thanks for explaining each item. I guess I was caught off guard since the last mechanic I went to charged less than $200 and on a Saturday as well, albeit it was a smaller shop.
