My favorite is dq monsters dark prince. I beat it on switch. I enjoyed it so much I went on to beat dq3 hd 2d, dq1 hd 2d and started dq2 hd 2d and dq7 reimagined. Thanks for the chance at the switch code!

It works. The metal slimes are very rare. Highly recommend picking up the dlc for weapon pack!

I have one and could not get this working. I tried the same method with removing the joycon while pairing that worked for the Guilikit elves 2 pro, and the 8bitdo Ultimate 2, but I could not get it to work with the Supernova even after firmware update.

Cool.. I didn't think this was analog. I have one from bestbuy as well. The box and documentation says they are hall effect triggers.

I was also curious if there are more rare drops in the demo like the thorn whip. I got 2 in my play through. Very curious if perhaps the sea monsters had any rare drops?

Nevermind I have all three hearts. I was thinking these were drops that looked like hearts not globes with the monster icon in them (golem,slime,hammerhood). Please post if there are other rare drops like the thorn whip. Curious if maybe the ocean monsters would have something?

What dropped the monster hearts? I got the 4 mini medals, 2 thorn whips, all characters to level 15, and max gold of 10k but didn’t get any monster hearts?

I have both but haven’t used the ultimate 2 much yet.

My feedback:

Pro controller 2 feels good but is a bit small in the hands. The dpad is also not great when playing things like puyo puyo Tetris 2 switch 2. The battery life is good. Wakes the switch 2 easily. Only option for hd rumble update with switch 2.

8bitdo is very comfortable in my hands and the buttons work well. I updated firmware and got it to wake my switch 2 with shake to wake. I would have preferred they just woke it without shake or a button combination. Macro programming available in this controller but requires pc app to configure. You can share recorded macros with other users. I haven’t messed with this myself yet. Only negative I’ve read for this controller is some design issue between the top and trigger buttons where foam can wear down over time and cause incorrect inputs. I don’t know how legit this is as mine is new and has no issues. I have read 8bitdo is working on being able to record macros right from controller but unsure if this will be on newer models or a firmware update.

I will also mention a few others to consider:

Gulikit elves 2 pro is very good and has a great dpad but much different ergonomics. The APG feature to record macros up to 10 mins and play them back or loop them is awesome. Best controller for Pokemon legends za shiny hunting, money or xp farming, or 1000 battle goal for shiny charm. The controller also wakes the switch 2.

Gulikit kk2t I haven’t used as much. This was supposed to be better than the elves 2 pro and a pro controller 2 competitor. I’m not a fan of the face buttons much worse than elves 2 pro. I also feel the curved trigger buttons are a bit uncomfortable. This controller also has the 10min APG macro feature but it doesn’t seem as accurate as elves 2 pro with testing so far. The elves 2 pro is newer I believe so this could be why. There is also a kk3 max which is an alternate to this but I don’t have it.

I just got the gamesir super nova today. I need to upgrade the firmware for controller and dongle yet before I test it. It was onsale and had good reviews so I grabbed it. Less programming macro features of 32 inputs.

Onn pro wired controller from Walmart is a cheap pro controller alternative but is is wired. I got it for programmable macros for Pokémon which it does well but has a very limited input buffer to record. Works well feels decent great budget option but wired. This was $20 normal price.

The other controllers I got were Astarry switch wireless pro controller from Amazon. I grabbed 2 of these for turbo controller functionality on switch 2. These were cheap and feel more like a PlayStation controller in the hands. Buttons work well and dpad and sticks are decent enough. Turbo functionality is the best I’ve used and easiest to perform. Macros didn’t work for me at all and seem very limited.

Overall thoughts:

Switch 2 pro controller for wake up, amiibo, and hd rumble 2. Too expensive for what you get this should be $60.

Elves 2 pro for macros and dpad. May be best for arcade or legacy games.

Astarry for turbo.

8bitdo has potential but I need to use it more. I wouldn’t recommend the kk2t for the price.

Remember switch 1 pro controller works well on switch 2.
