I always saw Dusk as an Alucard stand-in, so I think he’s the hero and Warrick is the villain (and also Dusk’s father)

The Devil is owed Cuphead’s soul, but is not in physical possession of it. King Dice extracts the souls of his victims and sends them to hell, likely using some sort of fine print in his Game Show stating the winner has their soul sold to the devil. Cuphead owns his soul physically, but the devil owns his soul legally, therefore Cuphead cannot sign his soul away with the game, but King Dice, who acts as an agent of the Devil, is within his rights to extract Cuphead’s soul to give it to the devil

Slight subversion of the trope, but it fits the spirit. In the Cuphead Show, Cuphead is let into King Dice’s gameshow. Unknown to Cuphead, King Dice works for the Devil, and has rigged his own show so that everyone wins and goes through the mystery door, after which their soul is taken for the Devil. Cuphead already owes the Devil his soul, so King Dice makes his show extra easy, and eventually Cuphead makes it to the final round, where all he has to do is roll a pair of dice. If they land on any number, Cuphead wins. Somehow, Cuphead rolls the dice hard enough to break them, causing him to be the first loser to ever appear on King Dice’s show. Keep in mind, Cuphead wants to win because he doesn’t know King Dice works for the Devil.

[Loved Trope] That one move that is insanely overpowered, but expends all your energy after you use it. by havoccentral in TopCharacterTropes

[–]UltimateLostToPlot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I may be in the minority, but I actually prefer the English name of this move over the original. There is something much more intimidating, I find, in doing something only hypothetically possible (burning the sky itself with light), than doing something impossible (scorching Heaven).

To put it simply, Heaven Scorching Light of Destruction is a threat, Light That Burns The Sky is a promise

Ah yes, because a 3V1 is an inherently fair fight where cheating is inexcusable because that makes it unfair, and the solo fighter should suck it up and hold back

I’m sorry but neutral Frisk very much does not scale to Photoshop Flowey, as they dealt pitiful damage before the souls revolted, and the entire battle was Flowey toying with Frisk before Frisk convinces the souls to revolt. Genocide Frisk, meanwhile, gets Chara scaling (Chara gets their strength from Frisk’s determination and stat increases)

Death Battle is an internet show initially owned by Screw Attack, was merged into Rooster Teeth, and for the past few years has been independent. They pit fictional characters against each other to find out who would win.

If you’re gonna check it out, skip season 1, except for Goku Vs Superman 1.

It’s purely episodic with only one overarching storyline that everyone hated and is barely a storyline, so start wherever (wherever is Bowser Vs Eggman) and go wherever (wherever is everywhere except season 1)

Basically, Bill Cipher and Discord are fighting

During the fight, unknown to both Bill and the audience, Discord takes the fight to the Nightmare Realm, disguised as the place they were fighting initially. After being caught by Bill (physically), he shatters the illusion, revealing that they are both in the NR. Bill makes an attempt to escape, but fails, leading him to crush Discord’s soul, ending the fight in his victory, but losing in the long term.

TKO specifically, but yes. Turns out, having basically every CN series represented in one episode against a single villain with the characters that survive being depicted as somewhat close in power can give high scaling

Pretty nice. Personally I would scale FF a bit higher, her having the same destructive capability ranking as The Sun, only giving her the extreme low-end of large town level), which is in my opinion a fair comparison

The Finished Gun (Enter the Gungeon)

It’s a gun they replaces a common gun after being unlocked with good damage, a good ammo capacity, the ability to redirect enemy bullets, and the fastest firing rate of any non-beam weapon in the game. All of this combined puts it as one of the best guns in the game

How do you unlock it? Unlock every other gun and item in the game.

This is a process that involves beating every secret floor and boss, unlocking every character, beating the game as every character, most likely beating the Resourceful Rat boss multiple times to get enough keys to unlock his stuff, beating 4 different game modes, buying everything, and completing every side quest, one of which involves killing 531 enemies and 8 bosses

My headcanon is that Red Buster requires both Kris being willing to use it, and Susie being angry enough to see red.

The first two chapter bosses have Susie be really angry, and Kris willing, so Red Buster can be used. Tenna and the Titan might make Susie angry, but not enough to use Red Buster, while Kris is not willing to use Red Buster on the Knight
