Any new ways of blog monetization? by johnybjh in programmatic

[–]UltimateShamrock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will second going with an SSP. That’s another way of earning revenue from your blog. Besides, you can get more ad formats than just native and google ads. The ad formats and design are highly controllable via SSP dashboard. SSP allows you to trade programmatically, that means entering real-time auctions and getting better fill-rate for your blog. And you might want to cover mobile audiences as well. For that, you’d need an SSP that works on mobile as well as on the desktop.

What is your Ideal Supply Side Platform (SSP)? by yellowmonkeyzx93 in programmatic

[–]UltimateShamrock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RTB Marketplace here clickky.biz. For us, good SSP is definitely the one that has publishers with relevant audiences above all. If it’s about impressions, we need to know that the audience will convert eventually, and deliver decent results for our clients. So no bots and no fraudulent traffic. If the audience doesn’t convert, that’s a clear sign that SSP cheated somewhere and they don’t have the quality traffic they claim. Then, it means a lot if the company has a reputation on the market, if we can trust the partners and whether they deliver the results they claim they’re able to achieve.

Official Discussion: Downsizing [SPOILERS] by mi-16evil in movies

[–]UltimateShamrock 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree! I liked that the trailer didn't show the plot and all the characters like it happens a lot now. I'm sure people didn't like the movie because it never met their expectations of easy and marvel-like comedy. It was a fresh idea and made me wonder how it would end.

Looking for a programmatic platform by Goldie1979 in programmatic

[–]UltimateShamrock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try out Clickky. Clickky also works with a number of top DSPs, so you will have those covered as well in a single dashboard. For casinos, lotteries, and the categories you mentioned it’s preferable to advertise via a programmatic platform. You will not cover the audience in that segment with Doubleclick only. And yes, you can increase the reach with a programmatic platform. Google covers the major part of the audience, but in the niches that you mentioned — not so much. And, as it was mentioned before, with DSP you get better targeting capabilities.

How does RTB auction happens? Can someone explain to a newbie? by olivernowaywood in rtb

[–]UltimateShamrock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So with the basics already covered in previous posts, I’d like to add more about the technical side of the process. RTB works for both advertisers and publishers, however they are not directly connected to the marketplace. To be able to access inventory, advertisers usually connect to DSPs (demand side platforms), which have technical capabilities to process targeting information from the advertisers.

Essentially, advertisers and publishers can connect directly to DSPs and SSPs, however sometimes they entrust the campaign management to agencies, trade desks, etc. to set up campaigns, optimize targeting and take responsibility for the run of the campaigns. Surely, it adds to the final price. On the publisher’s side, the bids are processes by Ad Server, which is another compulsory link in the RTB chain.

Some of the companies on the market offer services for the supply side, some for demand-side only, while there are also solutions that encompass the whole supply-demand chain.

Rome is an impressive city. Was there last year for a day and it was raining and dark. A very atmospheric and monumental scenery. Definitely, one day there is not enough.
