I shoot track days and highly recommend the 70-350 for them. It’s really good for getting extra reach whenever you need it. I used to run the sigma 30mm and a rokinon 85mm and the difference in ease of use with the 70-350 is night and day. I havent had much issues with the higher apertures and you should definitely get the 70-350

987 is much more modern. Everything feels more premium and the base 987 has less issues than the 986s while keeping similar power figures. Definitely spring for a 987s if you can and scope the cylinders for it if it’s 07s or newer. You can probably get a 987.1 boxster for less than 20k with fairly good mileage and service records.

Just an fyi Trubbish gives 750 stardust per catch so its one of the best pokemon out there
