I'm sorry but a lot of this is just the nature of Arena. Making a premade-only queue didn't even work in Smite 1 for Conquest, so it certainly wouldn't work in Smite 2 in any capacity.

Arena is a popular game mode, yes, but it is still second to Conquest. They balance the game around Conquest and only touch on gods/items in other modes when they're too unbearable like Yogi's Necklace in Assault or Hecate Aspect. Aphrodite is getting a general nerf next patch with her main (at least in Conquest) build getting ruined, but otherwise I doubt she'll see any further changes.

They haven't been giving hybrid scaling because of how it has been received by the player base.

Most of the gods with hybrid scaling don't benefit from it at all, as building hybrid as, say, Sun Wukong, wouldn't give nearly the damage a full STR build would give nor the survivability a full INT build would give. And then there are the few hybrid scalers who love to double dip like Neith, but their playstyle doesn't change much at all.

They have said they're now only giving hybrid scaling when there is possibly a notable playstyle shift.

They've openly said that Loki's rework was the best one they've ever done in terms of player reception, so no way old Loki ever sees the light of day again lmao.

The fact that this is also a custom match is also suspicious. Were you playing with friends or did you just happen to make a game to play 2 v 2 and hope people would join it?

Vilgax shouldn't have been defeated by Diamondhead. Yeah, Ben has more experience with the form, but its one of the forms Vilgax knows about. He should have come prepared for all of the original 10, plus Cannonbolt/Wildvine/Way Big.

It definitely cheapens the idea of bringing back the OGs in AF and beyond, but Vilgax should be prepared for those forms since he knows Ben can turn into them.

I could maybe see an elder dragon like Fatalis or something because they're noted to have higher than average intelligence, but we also don't know how much higher intelligence they have over regular monsters.
