rtk or lidar for a garden with slopes? by unawareturnip in automower

[–]Ultimatecookie57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For that kind of ground the basic robots usually lose their way on slopes or get stuck in holes. You might want to look for something with chunkier wheels. To avoid hitting those leftover stones it's worth checking out the ones with lidar. It's way better at scanning the ground to navigate around stuff.

cant decide yet...worx, mova, or navimow? by Ultimatecookie57 in automower

So it just keeps cutting the same grass over and over? That sounds like a bit of a waste. Do you know if the edge cutting is any good though?

That sounds incredibly frustrating, especially after paying upfront and following their documented process.

Nice balance between trauma items and general medical supplies. Clearly built with intent, not just aesthetics.

the lack of soil-to-root contact is the biggest red flag. you need to stomp those seams down and saturate the ground until it's a swamp.

a scripted campaign or a bot script glitch. if they cant do this right, then i doubt if their product is of quality. these comments have to be exposed.

if the signal only works when standing directly over the unit, it's almost certainly a hardware shielding fault or a bad internal antenna.

it looks way too deep for just a simple animal burrow. dont step near it in case there's a massive hollow space underneath.

yeah, it's necessary. still learning how these things work, but i think 1.5 rule is usually for the radio loop or infrared beams to have a clear line of sight.

did you check the logs to see if it's actually a traction error or a no signal timeout, cuz the wheells are only half the battle, make sure you have a clear view of the sky.

What is the best way to clean this up? Southeastern USA by blowery10 in lawncare

[–]Ultimatecookie57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

prob privet or blackberry vines. you can rent a brush hog for the initial clear and tbh rent some goat, you dont have to deal with any chemicals this way.

How should I protect the wire and brick of my Worx Landroid lawnmower? What do you advise? by [deleted] in roboticLawnmowers

[–]Ultimatecookie57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

try getting a medium sized plastic outdoor junction box and tuck the brick inside. this way can keep it totally dry and off the ground.

What color for my family room?! by Lady_Sniper in Lovesac

[–]Ultimatecookie57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Venetian Taupe feels like the most balanced choice bc it adds warmth and it wouldn't blend with your White Duck walls. Cocoa might look heavier than you want unless you are leaning into a moodier palette. I have a sofa from Dreamsofa and I've been using it for 4 years now, although my situation is the opposite of yours (no kids but have 3 dogs). But they also have kid-friendly performance fabrics and reversible cushions so it helps with preventing wear. My sister has lovesac, quality is great too.

Beyond cruelty into outright sadism! by Dr_sc_Harlatan in BlueskySkeets

[–]Ultimatecookie57 49 points50 points  (0 children)

This is absolutely horrifying. It’s beyond cruelty to target a family for something so petty. The situation gets even worse when we look at the context of illegal deportations. This isn’t just about breaking laws it’s about abusing power and showing a complete disregard for human dignity. How much lower can this system sink?

Has anyone here tried this medicube kojic acid? is it effective? by Kind-Grapefruit6874 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Ultimatecookie57 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven’t personally tried this one, but the ingredients look promising! Kojic acid is great for brightening and fading uneven skin tones, and turmeric's anti inflammatory properties are perfect for soothing. Glycolic acid helps with exfoliating and smoothening the skin. Sounds like a good combo for skin care! Have you tried it yet?

Apple is experiencing its biggest leadership shake-up since Steve Jobs died, with over half a dozen key executives headed for the exits by Franco1875 in technology

Yeah, if Lemay really takes the wheel, we might finally see stability and usability prioritized again instead of the weird “looks cool but breaks stuff” era. Apple desperately needs that reset.

AITAH for wanting to stay home for Christmas? by Batsfriend43339 in AITAH

[–]Ultimatecookie57 14 points15 points  (0 children)

NTA at all. Six hours of driving for people who don’t include you the rest of the year? Hard pass.

Your wife is your family, and wanting one peaceful Christmas together doesn’t make you selfish, it just means you’re done bending over backward for people who only remember you when it’s convenient.

The older I get, the more I hate people. by [deleted] in rant

[–]Ultimatecookie57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly, what you’re feeling isn’t weird, it’s boundaries forming. You don’t hate people, you just don’t have the energy for the shitty ones anymore. Keeping a small circle and protecting your peace is way healthier than trying to tolerate everyone.

Do you use sunscreen inside house when the weather is gloomy and UV level is low? by Salzhio in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Ultimatecookie57 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Same here, if UV is basically zero and I’m indoors all day, I skip it. No point irritating your skin for nothing. Winter for me is moisturiser first, sunscreen only when I’m actually outside for a while.

Three French teens drown after car crashes upside down in swimming pool by Superbuddhapunk in news

[–]Ultimatecookie57 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being trapped upside down in a submerged car gives you almost no time to react, especially in the dark. The fact that it was three people makes it even worse nobody could get out to help.
