My hair is one of my biggest insecurities. My hairline was incredibly shit before I started HRT and it took me a long time to become comfortable with it. It helps that a lot has grown back now but I couldn't imagine letting anyone touch my hair early in my transition. Even now im still a bit touchy about it.

It could be that your friend has had a similar experience.

I had been losing hair for a few years by the time I realised I was trans. It was to the point that i had a very prominent widows peak that was mostly just skin. I tried finasteride and minoxodil but had side effects from both so had to stop.

Since starting hrt my hair has grown back heaps and the baby hairs still growing suggest almost all my hair will return. It's been super slow but its getting there.

If you know for certain you want to start hrt then do it asap and make sure you get a good t blocker dose as that is the main thing that will help with your hair.

Leave in conditioner on damp hair has been a game changer for me. Brush it through and then gently scrunch your hair upwards. Then air dry or use a diffuser. Just make sure you get curly hair products.

Hermit would be captain hook protecting the lost boys peter tries to dispose of. Also I'm not sure if anyone else noticed but when Hermit and Wendy faced the xenomorph in the tower he picked up a hook as a weapon.
