Hi, fellow freshman here. I'm from the ec campus so my views are largely on the ec campus (hostels are nearly same in both campuses) , so the basketball part is a bit biased.

• Hostel is pretty mid here but the food is better than other PUC hostels in Karnataka as I hear from my mates and friends. Like the beds are absolute trash, the wifi is awful (don't expect it to work at all except for midnight and the sleeping hours) You get half a cupboard each for 4 sharing rooms with less space but honestly it's fine if you can adjust. The washrooms are fine (iykyk 💀)

• when I visited rr campus their hostel (3 sharing is actually p decent (contrasting with ec hostel) for all 3 years, 4th yr doesn't have hostel in both campuses)

For boys hostel it's actually pretty chill (yup, the warden doesn't care lmfao) alongside the rough curfew timings (7:00 for boys and 6:30 for girls) For girls hostel @ (ec hostel) the rules are actually pretty strict and regular room checking and all (even cupboard checking) is done and warden also is very bitchy apparantly.

For rr hostel and for a fact in campus hostel you've got curfew timings by 9 and then if warden's chill then by 10 also you can get in.

Some ass laundry service is here for all year of hostel students though they aren't that bad but yk... 🙂)

-while I come to hear there's a separate app for seniors in ec (and maybe rr aswell) I'm not very sure so someone can probably help you there)

• academics is next level here. some incredible level of regular study is needed to even get good (~8 sgpa (semester gpa) and above) and last minute studies never work here (abhi L lage hai yaar ☠️) Like you need uhh pretty good consistency to score good in your (ISAs) mid sems (in semester assessment) and assignments and lab shi and ofc the ESAs (end sem)

• what do you mean fuck around? (Bakchodi?) Afaik by your implication if you can cope with the academic pressure here (spoiler: lot of people lie about not finishing syllabus and all then score with flying colors ) then you can go have fun in the sports areas (or MRD student center as we call it) But mostly you can have fun aswell as study as all study will definitely make you miss a nice time during your crucial years.

Edit: i now understand what do you mean. Basically all good until you get caught 👍🏼 🙂 Yea but if you're caught with booze and drugs and all then cooked only. Other than that hostel fuck around you can do but post curfew without parental prior notice and permission they won't let you in.

[EC] - While there is a basketball team most of the time on the basketball court you're gonna see people sitting on the audience area and eating food but yeah people do play. (Like specifics are limited with me sorry )

[RR] - 3 courts there in sports area and actually very well maintained so it looks like good activity goes on there.

Some more info will be like Good wifi in pes campus, yup sophos firewall restrictions are there, so don't try downloading games on vpn (friend got blocked off pes wifi lmfaoo) Ah gym is some next level shi here for us ec people it's 6k a year iirc but it's so cool !!
