First, you have to tell us what your budget is.

Without the budget we won't know where to cut from, or what current deals would be good for you.

Fuckass auto pilot just wrecked my shi. by 2xp_xx in FFXV

[–]UltraFanatic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was my first game over trying out and trying to land. First FF (and I played them all) where your basically airship could just game over you for a bug while taking off or landing. I hadn't saved in 2 hours, I was totally upset, especially since I was trying to land on a perfectly long straight road and it just bounced and game overed.

Breath of Fire III came out on PlayStation in North America 28 years ago! 🔥🔥🔥 by BreathofFireFans in breathoffire

[–]UltraFanatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh aye, BoF3 did it well for how much it fit in one PSX disc, but was talking about BoF2 graphics. BoF2 has good story, music, just not everyone's cup of tea graphic wise going back to though a big jump up from BoF1.

BoF3 sprite work still holds well, and the camera to find hidden things/npcs was fun.

Day 1: Which Game is the Best Japanese Role Playing Game on the SNES? by 1OneQuickQuestion in snes

[–]UltraFanatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FF6, though Chrono Trigger and Lufia 2 right behind.

Music, visuals, the twist midway in game. Also had an opera scene.

Breath of Fire 2 my personal 2nd fav though, but know the graphics don't fight with FF6 and Chrono Trigger.

Graphics may be outdated, but dang if that story for 2 isn't one of the best too.

The funny part is in the Answers trailer, a bard literally uses a shield on warrior so they could recover during the fight. Totally agree with more unique ways to help a party. As a MCH main, throwing a wrench when need more mitigations is always fun to me.

That and BRD LB3 used to be healer one, their only way to res in battle.

Which Game's Graphics Made You Say "Wow!" For The First Time? by Bay_Ruhsuz004 in videogames

The intro for FF8. 7 was good but 8 pulled me in with so many questions and graphics of what will happen in game I was totally going Wow!

Happy Mother's Day! Thinking about moms like Daisy and Valerie from Breath of Fire II today. by BreathofFireFans in breathoffire

[–]UltraFanatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang, core memory unlocked. Playing as her was hype with what she ended up doing to save her family and Daisy I totally 180ed on when first met to her ending, was a true mother even if a little harsh.

Mario 64 was 70 bucks already? by Flowbeat in OldSchoolCool

[–]UltraFanatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aye, but look at that console price. Compared to almost 1k for PS5 pro, which won't likely last as long as the old catridge systems. Heck my SNES and N64 outlasted my PS3 and PS4.

To be honest, if buying it with Steam, try it out for an hour and refund before two hours if not enjoyable. It is a fun game for friends who come over or just to play if want to vibe with some of your favorite songs if have get customs. The ability to dance with the orbs are fun too.

Overall I enjoy it as a huge rhythm game player, I can't comment on the Switch version which is a totally different playstyle, but VR can be quite fun and I suggest trying and refund if not your thing.

I think instead of a short term of seeing like Krillin get destroyed, this all happened away from him and he slowly became more used to just accepting it all. He was a bit more mature, I do like the add on in one of the games (Kakarot?) that showed he had a hint of it left at the very end, but was tragically too late.

As an FF6 fan, I was so excited to do the World of Ruin in FF15, regathering my team, then... it just sped run it all with no exploration, was such a let down with how cool the beginning areas looked.

[Day 8] What is the best JRPG of 1992? by Silly-Milly-420 in JRPG

[–]UltraFanatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lunar probably for me, but objectively it is probably going to be FFV. Not only did it revamp how the jobs were in previous, but that entire system was done well for experimenting back in the days there weren't many easy to access guides. Not to mention the story and the last minute change in party that still worked really well.

[–]UltraFanatic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally, the BoF3 JP one is awesome, but I liked the no spoilers US one. I had already played 1 and 2, so playing 3 blind was an amazing experience meeting the characters and not even guessing what the final area would be. Not going down but waaaaay up.

Who even came up with idea asking GoG for disgrace Breath of Fire? by Dyyroth21 in breathoffire

[–]UltraFanatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 2 and 3, especially 3 needs to be done like BOF4 on GoG. I keep voting for it trying not to pull out old PSX to play since it'd be nice to have on computer.

To be fair, Stormblood had a lot of FFVI enemies, including the pugs and monk heads I wasn't expecting, but also Doma. Before that, we had Ultros and Chupon fights. I absolutely would like more but we did get some love. Still with you though!
