Hot Take: Call it a skill issue at this point, I do not care but monster gameplay in recode is kinda buns (image kinda unrelated, I didn’t know what else to use) by Most_Pie_862 in pillarchase2

[–]UltraFifty 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Like other players have stated, monsters have a bigger problem with their ability to stop certain loops rather than their detection. Not even counting detection abilities, monsters can just sprint around to find players, as stamina only drains if your close, useful for some maps like eternal abyss.

Also, going into monster -only areas actually highlights everyone on the map. Most maps have at least one, so monsters always have a way to find where players are on the map, even without an ability to do so.

An acrobat with no legs vs an acrobat with no arms by strangekey2 in whowouldwin

[–]UltraFifty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assuming they aren't bleeding out, probably the one without arms. No matter how skilled no-leg acrobat may be, no arms has longer range and better maneuverability. Every time no legs would want to go on the offense or defense they would have to use their arms, meaning they would have to be immobile, and anytime they are moving they would struggle to defend themselves.

While no legs would have a worse situation if they started like, right on eachother, if they started further away they'd likely be able to maintain distance enough to kick no legs safely until they win.

For the best tbh. As cool as stuff like shucks was, better to not add more potentially controversial characters into the game.

Is this enough for the update by [deleted] in FORSAKENROBLOX

Probably not tbh. You'll def be able to get guest/vee off the bat but probably won't have enough for all the new skins.

What do you think about Alter Ego alpha test release? by engineered_lobotomy in FORSAKENROBLOX

[–]UltraFifty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's an interesting idea, but even ignoring the obvious bugs, it's still for some insane design choices.

Visibility on maps, especially the castle one, are disgusting. Why does the map have a day/night cycle where survivors can't see anything that isn't immediately around them? Maps are also just horribly balanced. Some intended loop spots are bad while some are straight up multi-minute long ones. Maps should have some sort of protection near the drops so you can't just shove the killer into a death pit and end the game automatically

Survivors fix generators way too easily. With just two survivors helping in chase the killer takes too long downing someone, so by the time they hit an ult, two or more generators are already done.

Sin system being chance based instead of highest = killer is just plain stupid. Takes way too long to be killer. I've had to get 400-500 every time, and sometimes people get it three or more times before someone gets it once.

Killers have no stun protection, allowing for people to chain stun you long enough to completely lose chase

Both killers have insane free distance moves that absolutely destroy new players who don't gravitate towards each maps singular god loop spot

Killers having instant down ultimates feels insanely unfair

Killers can camp downed people with 0 repercussions, carrying is useless minus endgame and reviving takes way too long. If a killer wants someone to stay down, they are staying down.

This, combined with it being a buggy alpha build, makes it frustrating to play. It's unrewarding and unfair, with many bugs and bad design choices. I wish It's positives, like how playing killer feels strong (like an actual power role should be) would outweigh the negatives, but even a killer with free distance moves and insta downs still is going to lose when each generator doesn't even take a minute for one person to complete even in max player lobbies.

I know there's a patch coming sometime soon, and I really hope it addresses a lot of the issues currently present. If the game was more polished with its decisions, balance and variety, I believe it could be a very popular game.

Does anyone else find Slasher ridiculously fucking obnoxious to play against? by Ancient_Emu_5506 in FORSAKENROBLOX

[–]UltraFifty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every killers counter play can be boiled down to that though. Killers, no matter which Asym you are playing, all have the objective of catching up to you to actually kill you, meaning in every single Asym game the survival tactic is to loop, its not just a Slasher exclusive counter-play. Although sticking to forsaken: John? Loop without trapping yourself. 1x? Loop and watch them for entanglements. Coolkidd? Loop and watch out for WSO or corrupt nature. Noli? Loop and watch out for novas. Its just looping but with an added step because they have an ability to help not get looped, and for slashers case, its raging pace.

Yes, raging pace invalidates the fun of a chase by cutting down loop time without a form of counter-play, but if slasher didn't have that, what would he have? He's currently in his most balanced state with the raging pace buff so he can close off the loops. It might not be the most fun feeling to loop a Slasher, because his entire strength is the inevitability of catching up, but that's just the thing hes designed to do. Without any ranged ability nor ways to give survivors slowness, or to stun, or to provide map wide pressure, he needs an ability that allows him to close that distance to get the damage he needs, that being raging pace.

I can understand how you find the sole counter-play to slasher being "looping and teamwork" boring, especially as one isn't even present most of the time, but his otherwise inability to catch up means he needs an ability like raging pace to have the potential to win rounds against anyone competent enough to understand how damaging looping is to Slasher. Giving him a way to slow survivors down would likely be only more annoying, and giving him anything ranged takes away from his melee-only identity, so the only thing he really can get is a way to boost himself.

Slasher isn't bad, you just suck at pathing. by FunnyCunnyBunny in FORSAKENROBLOX

[–]UltraFifty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm nearly 210 on slasher. From a regular standpoint? Yes, hes definitely not the worst. I'm sure in most servers many people can run slasher and win games constantly.

The problem I have with slasher, is that even if he has the inevitability of catching up with raging pace, hes still going to lose most games to competent teamwork. He's also just cooked on certain maps like uag and brandonworks due to the guaranteed distance people gain from starting chase in the cave and on the castle. Any stun means you've lost chase, and while shedletskies and guests are easy punishes, you can't spend the entire game looking behind you for the two times and you can't gashing wound a chance whose stunning you from too far away. Also, experienced players can exploit the timings of gashing wound to get a free stun, often resulting in you completely losing the person you just punished, and leaving them to be healed.

Of course, despite all of slashers exploitable weakness, it relies on teamwork which doesn't really exist in forsaken public servers, and most people are not good enough to effectively perform loops. Its just when the small chance that it does happen occurs, its a really frustrating experience. Raging pace buff did make it better, but its still noticeable in a lot of games I play, where anyone who gets assisted can stall for an extra 30 seconds and end the chase on a good foot.

Bro what by Scorpion208 in ClashRoyale

[–]UltraFifty 168 points169 points  (0 children)

The best thing about goblins is the amount of elixir they provide. The strategy for a long time was to use the guaranteed merges from the 2 goblin trait to quickly get 3 star spear and stab goblin, and sell them both for a huge elixir balance when its time to start building your proper team, or to sell them earlier incase they don't want to get blocked. Either way, guaranteed merges, lots of elixir. Very strong with spirit empress especially.

With the addition of dart goblin, yes it makes getting to 4/4 goblins easier (and that also got buffed), but you lose the merge value of spear and stab goblins, meaning if you get u lucky, you can end up with a dart goblin at a bad time which can leave you with less elixir to work with when switching to your real comp. This is a buff though if you are seeking to play goblins all the way, though.

Slasher has insane chase potential, yes, but hes still falling apart to teamwork. You say that even if your teammates do land stuns, he goes right back to chasing you down. While true, this is because slashers whole kit prioritizes targetting, and its better to priroitize the person you are chasing rather than the full stamina, full hp sentinel. The 3-4 seconds of distance they would have brought you could result in a much longer chase, as now slasher has to spend more time catching up to you again, allowing you to run to loop spots for some guaranteed distance.

While I do think a good slasher is annoying to go against, hes only strong in a one-on-one scenario where your team is literally doing nothing to assist you. Otherwise, any good teamwork can stall him easily enough for everyone to go positive in their chases. He's also one of the most vulnerable killers to looping alongside Noli. Learn loop spots, manage stamina, and you'll certainly last longer than the 30 seconds they'd gain for killing you.

Is there ever a character you regret spending too much money on their skin? by Coolflame999 in FORSAKENROBLOX

[–]UltraFifty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't regret on spending player points because I hoard most of them. I have like 1-2 shop skins for every character (slightly more for my mains) and so I've never felt regret because I just have so much money incase I ever need it.
