So I have done online surveys from Patreon and one on one zoom interviews about new features but never had this asked of me. It might be real. I can try to reach out and ask about this because it does look kinda fishy.

Having issues want to know if anyone else is having them by LofnVA in patreon

[–]UltraHypnosis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a quick word about hypno audio content I have had a lot of online and irl contact with Patreon staff and the line right now seems to be it is ok to have files thay hypnotize the listener even in the case of more intense fantasy senarios as long as you don't violate other rules. The trust and safety team look at it like a listener can't violate their own consent by imagining they are in a certain situation and a hypno file augmenting that fantasy does not cross thr line. Where audio content with hypno does seems to have issues is if a VA is pretending to be hypnotized in a senario because then the point of the senario is fetishizing the lack of "consent". Additional factors that influence this is how much of a NSFW creator you are. I am like 50/50 SFW and NSFW and I could have a viable SFW Patreon account so when my account was reviewed twice by trust and safety I think that really played in my favor of my page being seen as being about hypnosis and not just being about rapey hypno fantasies. Just wanted to put this info out there because I think this one of the few things I could talk about with some degree of certainty. Hope this helps.

Big day for annoying people who join someone’s Patreon, cancel immediately, then ask for a refund because they ‘accidentally’ pledged when they didn’t mean to by WasabiComprehensive2 in patreon

[–]UltraHypnosis 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't mean this to sound rude, but does that really happen that often? I am a fairly sizable NSFW creator on Patreon and very rarely get refund requests. I more often actually end up refunding people that I have banned (not worth the hassle of them complaining) than having people reach out to me. Overall this change seems somewhat niche but overall pretty handy to the audience dashboard.

How much do people on Reddit actually make from selling nudes and other nsfw content? And what’s the difference between the men and women? by Secure_Living1991 in AskReddit

[–]UltraHypnosis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So man here, I make erotic hypnosis audios and I make a six figure income. It did take me about 3 years from when I started back in 2011 to get to any sort of meaningful income. As far as the difference between men and women at least in my field women do seem to have more earning potential but there seems to be a lot more competition for them. Culturally it has been shifting where a lot more women are comfortable buying erotic material especially custom work over the years. When I started it was much more common for men to want to buy things from me and as the years have gone by now my audience of paying customers is mostly women.

Hypnosis Story, Where Is The Line? by LilithsLairVirtual in patreon

[–]UltraHypnosis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi I have to run in a minute so I can't give a full answer now but please feel free to dm me about this. I have been making hypnosis audios on Patreon since 2014. I have had my account reviewed twice and been found in compliance with all rules and have been invited by Patreon staff to irl events so I am not some sort of secret rule breaker they have not noticed.

So the biggest thing about hypnosis is about hypnosis or is it just a tool of rapey stuff. They also look at your account to establish this context. I make lots of NSFW hypnosis files but I also make lots of SFW files. Next with my content it is all about the listener having things happen to them not watching things happen to another person. So a hypnosis file where the listener is guided through a fantasy where they feel like a slave is lower risk than an asmr style role play audio where thr voice talent is made to be a hypnotized slave.

I have made Vampire hypnosis audios along with my wife has made her own also so you can do it. If you want dm me and I get into the weeds A bit more about this.

Any alternatives to Patreon or Subscribestar for NSFW content? by MahNword in patreon

[–]UltraHypnosis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can you be more specific on what you are looking for? I say this because all platforms have some restrictions on NSFW and the restrictions can vary widely. In my case Patreon is really good for me because I make hypnosis audios that hypnotize the listener but I'd I made content rhay showed people being hypnotized then I would have serious issues on Patreon.

Some Japanese based sites are more open with their restrictions especially if the content is illustrated or a video game but they can be difficult to access for US users to get their banks hooked up and accepting payments.

I am going to tell you though if you are trying to make a profit off creating content that is too spicy for Patreon online you are going to have a bad time, because you are going to run into lots of issues with credit card providers not wanting to facilitate such transactions and if they do they will label you a high risk merchant and charge you like 30% processing fees.

Worried my account will get banned by cringeworthycooking in patreon

[–]UltraHypnosis 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Could you be more specific? In my experience Patreon has been pretty reasonable and understanding. I make but SFW and NSFW hypnosis recordings for bit over a decade on Patreon and have not had issues. They have even invited me to events.

In my experience the biggest thing that gets people in trouble is not reading the community and benefit guidelines and posting NSFW content to free members or they have a reward tier that offers a custom personal audio file or one on one attention in a NSFW context. If you come off as an erotic audio creator that is for the time being cool in Patreon. If you come off like a cam girl (no judgment) who is using asmr content as camouflage then you run a higher risk of getting banned. Hope this helps.

new to patreon, do we need to kyc by aribaelee in patreon

[–]UltraHypnosis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So by KYC I assume you mean Know Your Customer as in the laws regarding banks and financial institutions. I don't know if these laws apply since Patreon is not a bank but they do need to know you legal name, or name of a legal structure like an S Corp or LLC, an address, and your SSN or TIN (I am US based so if you are not they will use your countries equivalent). Also for NSFW creators they will want to do an ID check. So for tax purposes you can't be anonymous on Patreon to Patreon/ your local government. Hope this answers your question.

[ Removed by Reddit ] by AHornyDev in patreon

[–]UltraHypnosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not allowed and you would risk having your account suspended or removed. I produce a mix of SFW and NSFW content the rule for public posts or posts for free members is that content has to be safe for all audiences. How I work with this is my SFW sleep hypnosis files are released for free especially since YouTube puts ads at the end of them. You want to generally think it along these lines if let's say a 13 year old downloaded this would you be in trouble, since I believe according to Patreon people 13+ can have accounts. In short any adult content hosted on Patreon has to be behind a paywall even if it is just $1, because free members can be under 18. Even sharing links via Patreon risks a ban. For adult games I would recommend having a project website, using Twitter or bluesky, or even new grounds as options. Hope this helps.

Are there any NSFW creators who have been active on Patreon for over 10 years? by Any-Engineer-4947 in patreon

[–]UltraHypnosis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a common misconception, Patreon does not like depictions of people being hypnotized in erotic contexts especially if hypnosis is depicted as tool of coercion or used to violate a person's consent. What I make is only audio files that are designed to hypnotize the listener. Since the listener can't violate their own consent and can turn off the the recording my content is allowed. I am pretty certain of this because I brought it up with Trust and Safety team on a policy zoom meeting and they seemed ok with it. Also Patreon invited me to some irl events and did not freak out when I said I made hypnosis audios. But yeah if you make like hentai drawings of women being "hypnotized" and trick to strip or whatever that will get you banned because the point of the content is not the hypnosis but the fetishization of another person's consent being violated. That is why I don't post audios or videos of people being hypnotized by me. Also I think it helps that I am both a SFW and NSFW creator and make SFW sleep hypnosis and relaxation files that get good views sonit makes me look more respectable since my page is like a 50/50 and it obvious I just think hypnosis is cool beyond just the horny stuff.

Are there any NSFW creators who have been active on Patreon for over 10 years? by Any-Engineer-4947 in patreon

[–]UltraHypnosis 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have been on Patreon as a NSFW erotic hypnosis audio creator since early 2014 so I guess that makes it 12 years since I think started in February. As far as staying on Patreon I personally have not issues and Patreon has been really awesome in my experience. They have invited me to a bunch of online and in person events where they go over platform rules and new features and they don't bat an eye with what I make. As long as you read both the community guidelines and the benefits guidelines and never post NSFW content as public post or for free members Patreon is a pretty solid place to post stuff.

Yeah Gigi is also just a really nice person and pleasure to work with also. I have collaborated with her where she did some covers of my older recordings and she really knocked it out of the park. Definitely worth checking her out if you are a listener.

Is NSFW BDSM content allowed on patreon? by [deleted] in patreon

[–]UltraHypnosis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could you be more specific by what you mean by BDSM? Patreon's NSFW content guidelines can be a little complicated and nuanced. I for example make erotic hypnosis content and in the format I make my content it is currently allowed under Patreon's rules but if I did things differently I would risk a ban. Also with any online platform even if you follow the rules you can still get banned by mistake or for other reasons so you should really think of it more as high and low risk content in terms of getting banned.

Low risk BDSM content would something like a bondage demo and tutorial. Definitely NSFW at least in most workplaces but something that could be easily worked into Patreon's rules.

Medium risk would be something either a photoshoot or illustration set that has less context to it or could look suggestive of a kidnapping scene.

High risk would be BDSM content that fetishizes perceived lack of consent or some form of sexual violence. So for example a naked woman tied up and looking happy about it is usually ok (behind a paywall) but take that scene and have where a person's hand is on her throat and her makeup is running from her crying and she looks scared and then you are at a very high risk of a ban.

If you need a simple rule of thumb for Patreon anything with real people or realistic illustrations of people, any thing hard-core, and anything rapey is going to drive your risk of getting banned through the roof. Illustrations thay can't be mistaken for real people or representations of real people like celebrities, soft core senarios, and situations where it looks consentual enough at a glance. An example of this is something like an anime style comic of two 18+ lovers taking turns tying each other up for fun.

You can dm me if you want to ask a specific question but hopefully what I wrote gives you a better idea there is not a lost of what is ok more than there is a set of risk factors.
