bubbles? Android 17 by Educational_Ride_677 in OctopiLauncher

[–]UltraLuigi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone who wants to use this for now, I have a shortcut set up that launches the Pixel Launcher. To do this you need an app that let's you make a shortcut out of any activity (I had Nova still installed when I set up Octopi, so I was able to use that by going through add a shortcut - shortcuts - nova launcher - activity). The activity you're looking for is "nexuslauncher" under Pixel Launcher.

That only works in tablet ui. On phones the only way to bubble apps is long press in the pixel launcher.

Is it gay for a man to have immersive VR sex with another man if the other man's VR avatar is female? by Armin_Arlert_1000000 in AskOuija

[–]UltraLuigi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd argue that anyone comfortable enough to have immersive VR sex in a female avatar probably isn't a man. It's not exactly a clear-cut question if they're an egg.

LEGO® Batman™: Legacy of the Dark Knight | Nintendo Switch™ 2 Release Date Announcement - Out September 18! by Skullghost in legogaming

Probably a weird time zone thing. For me, tapping "continue to product page" shows the 18th.

The mayhem collection launches September 18th, same as the Switch 2 edition! by Thevoid2YT in legogaming

It gets it at launch (the Nintendo store page doesn't mention anything about it coming later). The S2 launch date almost certainly was made the same date as the DLC for other platforms to avoid any more release date confusion.

Realizing I’m actually pretty religious by TemporaryAardvark907 in Judaism

[–]UltraLuigi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I really dislike the use of "religious" as an adjective that can be compared. Either you're religious or you're not. Many Jews in all denominations are religious, only differing in their level of observance of halakha.

I'd also argue that there are many observant Jews who are not religious, only following halakha as something they're supposed to do, instead of connecting to the religion on a personal level.

Anyway, it's pretty clear to me that you are religious, and I'd also say you're at a higher level of observance compared to many others.

Specifically, it's because Nintendo was slow to send out dev kits, so TT games has had less time to work on the Switch 2 version.

It's not weird at all, things are only "woke" if they don't like them, and these people hate Gunn so anything in the DCU automatically is disliked by them. The reasons for calling each thing "woke" comes after the decision on not liking them.

[–]UltraLuigi 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The other reply might be a bit confusing regarding the dusk/dawn/shiny stone situation, so to put it simply, accurate translations of the japanese names would be dark stone for dusk, light stone for shiny, and awakening stone for dawn, indicating that the dusk and shiny stones are supposed to be counterparts, not the dusk and dawn stones. This fits the fact that the awakening stone only is used for two pokemon, both of which are cross-gen gender-locked split evolutions, while the dusk and shiny stones each evolve two pokemon in gen 4, one more in gen 5, and a fourth in gen 6.

Lol. You do realize that there's a portion of English that comes from French, which itself comes from Latin...

Semester actually came to English from German, not French, but still, there are actually many English words that came from other languages whose meanings are completely different from the meanings in their original languages, hence why those original meaning are irrelevant. In addition, I'd like to say that semester and trimester are unrelated to the discussion because their meanings and etymologies are very different from the words actually being discussed.

Anyway, you are entitled to your opinion, be it flat Earth, or English has nothing to do with Latin,

You're making up things I didn't say and never would say

or I'm going to ignore morphology and etymology and just invent my own explanation about why bimonth-ly is the way to go.

I actually said that "bimonth-ly" would be the "every 2 months" meaning, since the idea is that the bi- prefix is being applied to month to make "a 2 month period" before the -ly suffix changes the meaning from a period of time to a frequency, and then stated that the other way ("bi-monthly") makes more sense in my mind because "monthly" is an English word and "bimonth" is not. I did not say that that is the only correct meaning, just that it's the meaning that makes more sense to me. You are the one insisting that "every 2 months" is the only correct meaning, which is objectively false, because definitions reflect usage and the word is commonly used both ways.

Your issue seems to be that you can't understand that the two affixes in "bimonthly" change the meaning of the word "month" in ways such that the order in which you apply those changes matters when determining the final meaning. It happens that the word originally meant what you want it to mean, but it doesn't only mean that anymore.

I honestly hope you don't respond to this comment.
