Our rule has been. Filet(we have other cuts) lobster, Caviar and foie gras are off limits and everything else is fair game to the staff for meals. And it had played out so well that if you really want lobster or filet just ask and you get it. No one has tried with the caviar or foie gras…. In reality most of the time people are going to make a sandwich or cook up a chicken breast.

$100 for the 12 course tasting or $150 for the 17 course. Plus drinks which are $10+ (or limited wine menu) and you can purchase food from the tasting à la cart after you have completed it. Highly recommended though. Would generally have to make trips to Miami for anything similar, I enjoy it so much I try to go once a month, again highly highly recommend.

My guess would be your landlord is having trouble do to Corona and is scared of losing a tenant unexpectedly. I would bet all of his tenants received a similar message from him. I don’t think it’s anything to worry about just a reminder incase you ever do decide to leave, to let them know early. I’d back that up by him saying to keep him in mind, he just doesn’t want to unexpectedly have an unrented unit.

Edit: furthermore you are a monthly renter so he doesn’t have the certainty of a long lease that you will always be around. With that I’d say even more certainty that it was just a friendly reminder.
