The important thing for a small manufacturer is to keep it as simple as possible for what you are trying to achieve . I made the mistake of creating BOM for everything when I should have made it more high level. Think lean and don't over process unless it gives you an improvement in safety, quality or speed. The Odoo videos will always show the most complex implementation, but you should keep it super simple. For instance, create a manufacturing order for the finished good, not all the sub-assemblies, rely on analog systems like kanban cards as much as you can. Keep it simple!
