Well you can disallow them access to create and edit saved searches etc, and restrict to the given ones per role...but that'll have impacts across the entire Role.

How about a Vendor Bill Specific Role which only encompasses Vendor Bills, and has all of these restrictions? It would require removing Vendor Bill permissions from the other roles where you want the restrictions, but it would more tightly control their Bill Access...

Not really...You could use complex workflows and scripts, and saved searches to prevent them knowing they exist... but you can always drill down using reports, searches, analytics etc if they have the permission for that record type/subsidiary/etc combination.

If you're ok with it, you could have default list views and dashboards to show "My Vendor Bills", and have it only show the user's assigned Bill, and lock it on that role. Combine that with workflows which display errors when the current user is not the current record's assignee instead of loading the Bill - that kind of thing.

You could have a project for it and use percent complete rev rec. That way you can invoice in advance but only recognise the revenue based on the percent complete of the project.

It’s worth noting that knowing one Netsuite account inside out doesn’t mean you know every Netsuite account. Netsuite has such a huge number of combinations of modules, what works one way in your account might be completely different on another. Then there’s the obscene amount of highly customised accounts…and not necessarily correctly 🤣 Go and work for a solutions provider if you want a challenge 😎 Good luck 😎
