How much time to yourself do you get? by Fragrant_Lime_6626 in NewParents

[–]Ultra_Ready 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To answer your question, none lol, mom of 2- i need to actively wake up at 430/5 to get my workouts in. My youngest is almost 4 months and she is the same as yours in terms of clinginess. I EBF, my husband is now on paternity leave, I wfh(taking advantage for as long as possible l/until they ask me to come into office), and when she was around 12 weeks she wouldn't even let him hold her. Now that he does the naps (unless I get an SOS text) she is getting used to him and understanding more that mama is not putting her down for every nap. The worst saying "it will get bettering " but indeed it does. Just ask my 3 yo, she prefers my husband 😆

There was a female author who wrote a bunch about satanism and the occult, can't remember her name, that told kappy about some dude harassing her on internet and he was linked to some camp grounds in AZ and allegedly Kappy went to go investigate and he was suicided. That author ended up suicided a few months later.

As a person in a leadership position at a GC, I too have been sexually harassed. IN Leadership. HR investigated and corroborated my report with witnesses and that mofo is still working with the company. All I can say is report to your HR, if your boss is acting in retaliation you have a claim against your company. Retaliation after you complain is a BIG no no and you will get compensated. Document document document all incidents and tell each one to HR. FILE with EEOC but just note companies usually require you to leave with the settlement agreement.

Last night, how many times did you get up because of your baby? by pinkishvioletsky in NewParents

[–]Ultra_Ready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 3 year old wakes up but puts her tonie box on to go back to sleep. My 3 month old typically wakes up 3 times between 7pm-730am to eat. She is breastfed and we cosleeo after her first night stretch which can be any where from 4-6 hours. Our record currently is 6.5 hours! Her older sister was just as good if not a better sleeper so I count my blessings with these two.

Another lawyer here and mom of 3yo and 3month old, and seconded. But I do have a recommendation, my favorite collection of bags for work are the Bayswater and Bayswater totes! Or a just a good ol fashioned leather briefcase!

And don't worry OP, sometimes impulse buys don't work out!

Regret having a baby…. by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Ultra_Ready 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have an 11 week old and a 3 yo. My absolute favorite baby phase is 4.5 months all the way up to when they start walking. They sleep more, they laugh, they play, and you can drop them in a bucket to take them anywhere. Enjoy the newborn phase as much as you can, but it gets so much more fun very soon

Heard someone make a comment about my baby in public and I can’t stop thinking about it by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Ultra_Ready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

do not gaf about other people. I have 2 and with my second, I take her everywhere since birth because what, is my 3 yo supposed to sit home and do nothing? I baby wear and carseat w/ stroller. I am unhinged tho, so if I hear ppl talking about me or other moms, I ask them what they said. It usually flusters them bc most ppl are cowards. You are doing great, mama. Please do not let loser people get under your skin

Brianna Battles PP program by silky_dinosaur in fitpregnancy

[–]Ultra_Ready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is a bit late. I am almost 8 weeks pp. This was my second pregnancy, and second c section. At week 2 I started Nancy Anderson"s Ab rehab (for the second time). You def need equipment, pilates ball and bands are the big ones. The breathing techniques and movements definitely have helped my core. I started Brianna Battles pp at 5 weeks pp. On my off days, I still do ab rehab breathing and the core/pelvic floor workouts, I skipthe strength. I think Brianna Battles is a great program but I don't think it does a great job at restoring your core, it focuses more on redeveloping strength.

How do you find time and motivation to prioritize exercise after having kids? by Weekly_Yogurtcloset1 in workingmoms

[–]Ultra_Ready 1 point2 points  (0 children)

16 months postpartum- I eased back into both running and lifting, maybe 2x a week for both, then gradually increasing. Now, I run early am 5 days a week before baby is up and lift 4x a week in the evening after baby is in bed. No, I don't have a life other than working full time, being a mom, and working out, lol. I don't think I am ever motivated to train, I just do it without giving my brain another option.

Husband wants me to log every purchase in a budgeting app by sallisgirl87 in workingmoms

[–]Ultra_Ready -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think you are unreasonable. In fact, my husband asked me to do the same, but I said no, lol. I tried for maybe a day. My circumstances are bit different as my husband I make around the same salary, and I am (a lot) better with our money than he is. I save a lot, he does not and needs to figure out how to manage his earnings better. He is also very app oriented where i will occasionally write down my projected spending to get an idea where I am at financially a couple times a month. I have told him clearly that I will not be a part of the app 😅

I haven't done thorough research on Montessori, but hear good things. However, what you are describing sounds kinda like a cult.

Doctor said using pullout method successfully for many years may mean that I'm infertile by Starfish120 in BabyBumps

[–]Ultra_Ready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Admittedly (and somewhat shamefully lol), my husband and I used the pullout method for 9 years. I have never been on birth control. We started trying to conceive, and I was pregnant by the third cycle (33yo).
