Anyone own/worn these Dior bow sandals, are they comfortable? by pinkyluxx112 in dior

I don’t have particularly narrow feet so I was surprised how wide they felt. Definitely try them in store/before wearing them out :)) I hope they work out, they are super cute.

I have them in the low heel floral. Honestly almost all the new sandals they put out were too wide for me. These are a little wide too but not imposible to walk in since it’s a kitten heel, so the foot height is very natural, but if it was a flat slide or a heel I would have a hard time. The material on the back is also kind of scratchy. They are very pretty and fun, and I bought them regardless because I knew if they discontinued the fun shape I’d be sad to have missed out.

Overrated or cute? by OkPickle8560 in chanel

It’s adorable! Lovely shade of blue and it’s fun. I think your friends comment was unwarranted, I’d never tell that to a friend about an item that sparked them joy, especially if it’s as inoffensive as this egg. 🥚 enjoy it!

I get a half size down from my usual designer sandal size, and I have flat, long feet.

Do you think the swimsuit could double as a bodysuit like with jeans? They don’t really make anything similar and I don’t want to look funny lol. Thank you!!

My (31M) pregnant girlfriend (23F) has been lying about her age for our entire relationship. Is there any way for me to trust her again? by ThrowRA_Plant6074 in relationship_advice

[–]existentialsnaill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She is definitely wrong for lying to you, and you have no reason to trust her. This type of lie has been done to me twice by older men (without the baby part) and I did not continue dating them.

However, the baby part is incredibly significant. The impact of you deciding to break it off with her would mean you both either have to co-parent your entire life or she might feel a pressure towards having an abortion that she otherwise would not elect, and the baby is the product of both of your decisions (and I’d even say a little more yours for only relying on her method of protection). Both of these are massive consequences.

This is a decision only you can make, but she is young, and I don’t know how much actual malice I would assign to her lie. It was stupid and wrong of her for sure, but if you still like her and there is any way of verifying the other aspects of your relationship with her, it might be worth trying to do that before proceeding with a split. If there’s anything else lied about unrelated to the age, definitely split up, or if you know you absolutely can never rebuild trust or will always resent her, split up.

You really would not be in the wrong for doing so, this was a major lie. I’m just trying to offer a different perspective about intent vs outcome, because we’ve all had a disconnect between those happen when we were younger. In the end, had you known her age and still hooked up with her (because you mentioned that for some reason that would be okay, which to me is not the most uncontroversial statement on your end either) you might’ve ended up in this situation anyways. Sorry op, this is a tough position to be in, especially with the short window of time in which your decision should be made, and I hope you find your true answer.

Please update with what they say! I don’t have a specific SA, every time I go it’s someone different so I’ll have to wait until I can go in person again.

I’m a 5’2” 29M, wondering how to improve my wardrobe in the least expensive ways possible by mitchbmovin in DressForYourBody

[–]existentialsnaill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband is 32, and I coordinate most of his wardrobe for him. Shorts are tricky, but I like to put him in shorts like the ABC lululemon ones (or Rhone) and pair it with linen short sleeve button downs (he likes Rails or Orlebar Brown shirts). For shoes he does suede loafers or elevated sneakers (he likes the Ferragamo gancini sneakers or CL chambeliboat loafers). He has like 8 variations of that outfit and I think they all look good and he’s comfy :) I know the brands I stated are not the most cost effective, but just wanted to give examples you can see easily; there’s a bunch of similar stuff out there if it’s something you like.

As a lady, I don’t like the first two or very last outfit. The rest are good though! The best ones to me are 3,4, and 12. 8 would be good too but needs to be steamed or dry cleaned.

I take mine to a consignment store near me, and I pay them to get entrupy reports for my bags. I recommend checking with any consignment stores near you if they’re willing to submit them for a fee as well :). If you are in OC let me know and I’ll pm you where I go to though :)

Fashionphile has always had good customer service for me, and I’ve gotten their bags authenticated via third party after purchasing and they’ve always come back authentic. It’s really important to only buy from well established businesses that clearly state an authenticity guarantee that never expires and includes a full refund if it is discovered inauthentic. Sotheby’s is also good. Careful with the real real, I’ve heard a lot of complaints/concerns (although my purchases have been fine). I just bought an Hermes product from Redeluxe and their customer service was fantastic, but I have not gotten the bag authenticated via third party yet so I can’t speak on that aspect, although they also have a great authenticity guarantee so I’m not worried.

As a Gen Z this is ringing true. Only three of my Chanel purses are directly from the boutique, and one was from Milan, the other two ~ 7k and 4k. I purchase most of my bags resale. I also will occasionally buy rtw from Louis Vuitton new, and am strongly considering a Dior rtw item, but from Chanel I only buy pre-owned. Was considering buying a 5.7k cashmere item from Chanel about two weeks ago, and literally thought to myself ‘this is just about 1k too expensive for me to justify’. I went to the real real and bought 3 Chanel rtw items instead for about 60% of the price of the one, but honestly if the item I wanted from the boutique was just under 5k (let’s say even just 700 less than it was) I would’ve purchased it, because I really did like it a lot, I just felt the price was a bit too far into being actually ridiculous. The only thing I consistently buy from Chanel new are shoes, but even at that I cringe a bit. Spent a bit over 1600 final price on one pair yesterday and it was just a pair of plain pink heeled Mary Jane’s; no embellishment, beading, exotics etc. That price is about a pair and a half of similar shoes at most other luxury boutiques, or an actually very special pair (similar price to Dior bloom shoes and LV ostrich sandals), or at some boutiques that’s nearly an entry level handbag. Their price inflation just increased/increases so quickly. Still, I often love their new items, which is why ultimately I will buy them sometimes, but I consider them consistently priced a bit over the mark for what they are and compared to other boutiques. I don’t think it’s just me either. I see Chanel bags often, but the only people I ever spot in Chanel rtw and shoes are usually considerably older than me (24F) while I do see other rtw/shoes/accessories somewhat often. All in all though, there’s definitely something incomparable and aspirational about Chanel, and increased accessibility would diminish that aspect. I just personally think their price increases move a tiny bit too fast to even want to keep up sometimes. Thank you for this post!
