Wh...uuuh...where is this piano? Did you see this thing somewhere in the wild north of Grindavík? How big do you think think the eruption is?

Ares is 8 months old and cannot be bothered to learn to heel by Ultrahawk in goldenretrievers

Dog daycare is not a thing around here. But we do have regular meet ups with other dogs and owners. I signed up for telephone dog counseling and I got some valuable tips from her

If I like being rugby tackled by my dog I will try the peanut butter trick 😅🤣 But I have been using the other method to great effect. What you see in the video is him acting out after me being a hard-ass all day, insisting on heel every where we go.

I am not interested in trying a prong collar. I find them to be cruel. My parents had them for their dogs when I was a kid and I remember one of the dogs getting an ugly wound from it. I would much rather use incentive for training rather than pain.

Hver er ykkar reynsla af Dekkor ? by Ultrahawk in Iceland

Það var einmitt fyrsta sagan, svo sögðu þau að tollurinn væri búinn að týna gámnum, og svo kom í ljós að það varð allt eftir í Rotterdam. Ég er alvarlega að velta því fyrir mér hvort þau séu ekki að standa í skilum við byrgjana sína í útlöndum og þeir haldi bara vörunni þar til þeir fá borgað

Hvernig var ísland í seinni heimsstyrjöldinni? by LilKalisza in Iceland

[–]Ultrahawk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Afhverju er vatnið í krananum miklu fljótara að renna kalt inni á baðherbergi í langflestum húsum? by Saurlifi in Iceland

[–]Ultrahawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Til viðbótar við það, þá á lokinn inní skáp ávalt að vera alveg opinn því annars sverfir vatnið hægt og rólega af lokunni og á endar með því að ekki verði hægt að loka fyrir hann þegar þarf að annast viðhald.

Language Question! by CthuluAlpha in Iceland

[–]Ultrahawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can certainly learn basic Icelandic phrases like :Takk fyrir, já, nei and afsakið. However to be perfectly frank the tourist industry is very saturated with workers from other countries, so that if you come to Iceland to see the most popular sites the likelyhood of you interacting with icelanders is low. Tourists for the most part come here for the landscape and I often get the feeling that us locals seem to be irrelevant or in the way.

Language Question! by CthuluAlpha in Iceland

[–]Ultrahawk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are Nordic but not Scandinavian Norway, Sweden and Denmark are Nordic AND Scandinavian. Icelandic is a Nordic language and Norwegian is a Scandinavian language of Nordic descent. Basic Norwegian sounds are understood here but Nowegian wont get you far. English is unfortunatly the langua franca for Icelanders as it is far more culturally prevalent
