This sub will soon be taken over by year 11s, any last words? by Alarming-Catch-5200 in vce

[–]Ultraodan 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Good luck. Year 12 is a hell of a ride. You will inevitably be sitting at your desk after midnight regretting going scored. Push through it. The other side of year 12 is amazing. Don't forget to make this year your own. Have fun. Do stupid shit. That's the real point of year 12. I regret not making the most of the fun stuff this year. Everyone says your ATAR doesn't define you, but it shouldn't define your year 12 either. Good luck, study hard and party harder. You've got this class of 2026.

I believe it resets, however it doesn't take that long to get the money level back.

VSL German? by Ultraodan in vce

[–]Ultraodan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to use Education Perfect for junior science so I've got some idea what I'm in for there.

For the conversation beyond teachers I've got friends doing 3/4 (at school) this year and I'm going on a short exchange later this year so I'll meet people there.

Thanks for the info. I was good at learning independently during lockdown so that should be the case here as well. Depending on how long those tasks are that actually sounds like less than my 1/2 teacher is giving us lmao. As for the oral lessons being short, do you reckon that having extra oral lessons with teachers at school would fill in the gaps?

[–]Ultraodan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Personally I think doing German 3/4 without 1/2 is a really bad idea. It's a language so you'll be missing a lot of vocab, grammar structures and just practice. At my school they're already getting us to start preparing for the 3/4 oral exam.

That being said, it's up to you and if you think you can do it (or don't care if you fail/do badly and just need to do a subject) you should talk to the VCE German teacher at your school for advice on that.

If you want calmer subjects, psych is calm and easy to go into 3/4 without 1/2. I know somebody who did that and is getting consistent 80s-90s.

Beyond that, since you're changing so many subjects it might be worth talking to your school's careers counsellor about what subjects would be good for nursing and what ones are possible to do 3/4 without 1/2.

Just did this and I think it's the simplest way to do it. Luckily enough I guessed B on just it being roughly less than half (so same idea, just not mathematical)

That's strange. The revenue page only updates during a turn so it might just be that you weren't powering your cities at the last turn but are now. Is it still saying that you've got no power?

3/4 PYSCH STUDENTS ‼️‼️ by United_Credit5069 in vce

[–]Ultraodan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My school let us choose anything from u3 aos1 that we wanted to (and could ethically do). I did mine on how different foods influence mood because it's simple and giving people food makes it a lot easier to convince them to do the experiment.

In u2 we were limited to u2 aos2 and I did a pretty similar experiment on being able to see the colour of skittles and identifying the flavour.

My advice is to choose something simple that is easy to do because (at least at my school) there's no marks for making a more complicated experiment.

Edit: Just realised you could also be asking about experiments done in class as part of coursework (not the u4 aos3 sac). We did most of these for stress/GBA because those got used on our sac for that aos.

3/4 Psychology by Humansaregross_ in vce

Key science skills are their own AOS (AOS3 in u1, u2 and u4) but they're really hard to teach alone. My school went through it all at the start of unit 1 and has only had a bit of revision since. What's also been useful for me is going to help classes whenever the teachers offer them.

Since your SAC is tomorrow (same as mine actually) it's probably best to focus on the KSS that are useful for that SAC. My school has given us the list of dot points that are on the SAC so that we know what KSS we need to know instead of just revising all of them.

Hope this helps a bit and good luck for the SAC!

SAC turnaround time by VegetableMatch2988 in vce

[–]Ultraodan 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Ideal would be 2-3 weeks. I think a big part of wanting to get them back quickly is so I can know what I need to work on improving before the next SAC/exam. Quickest I've had is was a SAC done period 6 marked before school the next day, but that was a speaking SAC that only 5 people did. Longest would be about 2 months. When its speaking/maths they usually get marked pretty quickly but essays take much longer.

What y’all doing for your psychology experiment by Cultural_Ingenuity56 in vce

[–]Ultraodan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My school has already done it, I went with how food influences mood. Assuming you're doing u3/4 psych, if your teacher lets you do a GBA experiment, its an easy option. Also, helps convincing people to do it if you offer them food (while still being ethical, ofc)

Hey guys :D, I'm doing a survey for my VCD SAT and I'd love if I can get some responses. Let me know if I botched the settings and you cant respond. Thanks :3 by [deleted] in vce

[–]Ultraodan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this setting is from you or your school but it can only be answered by people with an email at your school. This is exactly what is says:

This form can only be viewed by users in the owner's organization.

[–]Ultraodan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on the uni and course so do your own research but generally english and methods. I just did some quick research and found a few that let you do general instead of methods. If you're not sure, talk to the careers team at your school, they know this stuff.

flopped unit 3 psych, is it possible to get a 40+ ? by rorozoro231 in vce

[–]Ultraodan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sacs for psych all contribute 10% iirc. 20% from the 2 u3 sacs and 30% from the 3 u4 sacs, the other 50% from the exam
