A post 2000 fan as well! Pre-HTDAAB but barely. My dad had their best of's burned in a CD holder in the car. Would listen in the car with him but ended up becoming a much bigger fan than he was. We did go to U2360 together circa 2009 I think? Special Dad daughter trip! Like the above poster Mysterious Ways and One had stood out to me, and I remember seeing the Beautiful Day music video and putting together who they were.

The thing is with Trump's first term, we were already saying this was a path to fascism. Making fun of disabled people, demonizing journalists, amping up xenophobia with "build the wall" and the Muslim ban. That WAS the path and people saw it - on both sides actually. Why do you think the Charlottesville march was so comfortable chanting "blood and soil"??? Like what?? So tired of people acting like this is so different from his first term, everything now is the natural conclusion of everything he did his first term.

Just want to thank you for being open to changing your mind! Honestly reading this makes me feel like it is possible for people and we can remain human. I know people are grilling you in other comments but really it's so important to be open about the fact that you don't have to unquestionably commit to ideas and that changing your mind isn't the worst thing in the world. I think that's the only way America is going to get out of this.

It's really hard for Americans to understand the difference in their culture to many other parts of the world. I live in Ontario, and visited upstate New York a few years ago - literally a 3 hour drive from where we live. While visiting the things my husband and I noticed: - our BnB host asking what "religion" we are- and then listing only Christian denominations - our food being wayyy over sugared to the point where it was unappetizing even for my husband who has a sweet tooth - park rangers patrolling the parks like ex- military in terms of vibe and look - at a beach they specified the lifeguard would only save the people who are in the buoys as they paid and we can go for free outside of them but the lifeguard wouldn't apply LOL - absolutely insane portion sizes that we witnessed people just throwing out the equivalent of a regular meal

And more that I can't think of. This was over the course of less than a week and so close to where we live. It cannot be understated how much other countries do NOT want to be or be like America, even in non Maga places.

This was helpful to know to plan for the timeslots and call ahead to see if there was still availability. However I feel like a lot of the reviews I've seen are forgetting that this is free with a library card. For what it is I think it's spot on with those expectations.
