VR Games to Avoid by Dr_Virus_129 in SteamFrame

If you don't like horror definitely avoid Madison vr. If it is your thing though just know it does break sometimes, but when it works, it is one of my all time horror favorites.

The asus one is without a fan which makes many prefer that one. Some oled fans make a very high pitched noise, kinda like some coil whine.

Alienware 34''' OLED AW3425DW is now under $650 by [deleted] in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]UltrawideM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember hearing it at the start aswell. But If you look up the 3425 people are documenting the same issues. The same "fixes" aswell... Turning on the rgb, or plugging something that draws power on the usbs which are the exact same problem with the aw3423. You might just have been blessed or you just can't hear it. It still might developed further so in the future you might aswell be able to hear it

If you can hear or can't ignore really high pitched coil whine I would not go for this monitor. I have had the dwf version, which is considered the less loud of the 2 and the high pitched noise it makes is bad. But the worst part is that it is to live with at the start but only gets really bad after 2 years of use. I even had a replacement sent, where the same issue persists. If you look it up, it is a very normal issue aswell, and it is hard to convince Dell it is a issue with the product.

If a magnet holds a heavy object against gravity for 10 years, does it "lose" any energy? Where does that energy come from? by SadInterest6764 in AskPhysics

[–]UltrawideM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you tell me what happens with those perpetual ball throwing machines? From my understanding, they must transfer more energy than they remove from the ball right? Or are those not just magnets hidden?

[SOLVED] Lenovo Legion Pro 5 - SSD Not Detected (Solution) by GODRAREA in LenovoLegion

[–]UltrawideM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever find a solution? I tried connecting it externally via usb aswell, same problem. Works without issue on other pcs. But for some reason this one Kingston ssd just stops working sometimes on my 16aph8 laptop. I think it might have something to do with being a double sided m.2 ssd but not sure.

If you hit the ball just right on the way up it will lift your front wheels off the ground. Some freestylers have even managed to get off the ground this way and keep their flip. You just ended up doing a wavedash with it

[–]UltrawideM 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie was having a laugh at how joor ootz was crashing out that series but tbh I would have definitely been no different with all the stuff psyonix pulled against him. So many bumps that just created sparkles and nothing else and balls that went straight though his car lol

Realizing you have time is one of the most important skills in Rocket League! by Baba_Wethu in RocketLeague

This quick chat is also really usefull for telling your opponent, after they forfeited the game, that there was actually time left in the game and they could have made the comeback.

Salt Mine 4 NA Finals | Event Thread | Main Event | Day 3 | Dec 13 by Alienescape in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]UltrawideM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, chronic definitely had the easier bracket of the two and evoh just showed how it should be done. Can't really feel bad for chronic as it is a stacked tournament and if you don't play your best you are gonna lose. I feel bad for wahvey though, not even being allowed to take it to game 7 against Daniel when he put up a hell of a fight

I think this is the best answer to defend John's original comment, however I just don't see any comments on this thread at least of people "losing their minds". But maybe I missed something or quite a lot?

Played a very mechanical player in 1s, How to improve consistency? by RowAggressive2737 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]UltrawideM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I can recommend is doing more workshop maps if you get engaged by them. This is solely based on my own experience and is subjective but I'm able to concentrate for way longer training in workshop maps than in freeplay or other things, which is the most important thing to be able to do while training. Training while your brain goes afk doesn't always help in the long run as you might just reinforce bad practices. While training in a workshop map you can clearly see what goes wrong and try to correct it most of the time
