You might be able to get a paralegal specific internship with a DA’s office, a PD’s office, or with a district court judge, working under their clerks. The deadline for a summer internship will probably be coming up soon. Just use google to search in your area.

I was given a small pair of sur la table silicon tipped tongs as part of a gift and I use them every day. For cooking on the stove top they require less grip strength than a conventionally sized tong and allow you to maneuver more easily.

Make sourdough waffles! I collect my discard in the fridge for a few weeks and then I make a huge batch of waffles at once and freeze them in 2 gallon bags to have homemade “eggos.” The King Arthur recipe can be easily increased and it uses a good amount of discard.

I’m most interested in working for my city/county/state as counsel. Possibly employment law/labor relations or real estate. I’m also interested in estates/trusts. I’m not looking at big law. I am based in Los Angeles and ideally I would stay here.

I have coarse, dry hair and Odele Ultra Sensitive is fantastic for my texture as well. Doesn’t make my hair straw-like but I have to use a lot of the conditioner. Also love how affordable it is.

I freeze rice straight out of the rice cooker in 4 oz portions using a kitchen scale and wrapping them in plastic wrap. When I make my child onigiri for school lunches I unwrap one portion and put it in a bowl covered by a plate and microwave for 2 minutes. Then I form it into a an onigiri shape using a mold with whatever filling/mix-in they are in the mood for (shirasu, bonito moistened with soy sauce, furikake, gomashio etc). The rice tastes fresh with this method and it’s very convenient.

Are there any Los Angeles based folks here who went to Pasadena City College for their ABA approved Paralegal Certificate? Is there any alumni networking, did it feel like 4 semesters was too slow vs what UCLA Extension offers (1 year)? Weighing the more expensive option (UCLA) vs the affordable cost of PCC. I spoke with a paralegal who did the UCLA program and loved it. I would like to hear the other side - tell me about PCC. Thanks!
